The exploration of these thoughts/feelings opens up many new possibilities to your mind/psyche (new apartment, top floor, renovated, huge, unfinished, unfurnished).

Then, your subconscious experiments with the idea of being with him (get in his car). At this point the dream is either being predictive of the outcome - disaster - or, more likely, reflects fears you project upon the possibility - disaster. Which do you feel it is?

To me, the last part seems very telling. Vin is there because he is partially at the root of your fears, and you are a ghost because aspects of that relationship are dead - as you said, "I am dead". Also, on some level you feel as if, or fear that, there is "a ghost of a chance" at a relationship working with Buzz, and so disassociate yourself from the issue (you're a ghost), suppressing the thoughts to some degree (nighttime).

Does this make sense to you?
