Okay, so I have a tapestry hanging on my bedroom wall right where I look when I fall asleep. It has a sun and stars on it. Anyway, I had a dream where I saw this symbol 3 times in one dream, and I started asking myself "What does this mean??" in my dream, out loud. I've had three other separate dreams with this symbol appearing and me stopping to think about it. I know this is a symbol that can help me remember that I'm dreaming. It's the first thing I see when I wake up and it's the last before sleeping. I keep trying to realize in waking life that this is the key to snap me into lucidity, so I'll remember the next time I see it. The last dream, I pulled a business card out of my back pocket and looked at it. It had the symbol and I thought "What the heck is this and why do I have it?" but I didn't connect it with dreaming. I want to try to see this in a dream and KNOW that I'm dreaming so I can become lucid. My question is, how to I click that lightbulb on in my head when I'm dreaming and I see this symbol? I had a lucid dream years ago. It was the only lucid dream I had so far in my life. I knew I was dreaming and I stopped it when I felt the dream became dangerous.I saw two or three people near a car. At that moment I realized I was dreaming. I walked towards the car in my lucid dream. The people near were preparing a knife for some purpose. I thought the dream is becoming dangerous and stopped it. What you think of my dream Ra? Please tell me. IP: Logged |

Hello zoso Patience, and persistence. It looks like your subconscious has already mastered the cue, and that is the hard part for a lot of people. Just keep at it. And let us know when you do it! Hello Raj It's good to see you. Well, there is little to tell about, as you stopped it! Maybe you gained some kind of control over a threatening issue/situation at the time of the dream. Or maybe you put an end to some kind of fear or anxiety. What do you think? IP: Logged |

Well, since you became lucid, and changed the dream, I think the dream loses much of it's symbolic (or would-be symbolic) meaning. IP: Logged |

That's really neat. Perhaps when you see the tapestry, your astral double is "out", as in an out of body experience/astral projection. ------------------ http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/6562/pchan_stockton.html IP: Logged |

It never really clicked, not until after I woke up. So in the dreams, I'd just be eating my hand ... my subconscious was doing its job superbly, but I just never quite became aware of the not-so-subtle hints. Hopefully, you will not have that problem. It works well for a lot of people. Have fun!
