Moon frequently occurs in my dreams. In every dream the moon disappears in some fashion.

In the first dream, where I saw the moon, my girlfriend threw aa tumbler on the moon and the moon melted away. In the second moon dream, a magician cast his spell on the moon and the moon disappeared sprially. In the third moon dream, the moon shatters and only a piece is left on the sky.

These are the moon dreams I remember.

Ra, I went mad asking this question "What does moon mean to me? What is the meaning of those dreams?"

Please help me.

Hello Raj

Freebird is right, the moon is a feminine symbol, often indicating emotional energies/issues or cyclic activity. At least that is the western view. In India, among other places, the moon is a masculine symbol.

So, Raj, if you had to think of the moon as male or female, which would it be? I'm not even sure it matters, to be honest, just looking at the options. The moon in your dreams could symbolize something altogether different. How recent are these dreams?

Raj- I don't know if you are a man or a woman, but anyway...

In a man's dream, when the moon appears, he either has to come to terms with his own intuitive side or his fear of women.

In a woman's dream, the moon usually indicates her interrelations with other women through their collective intuition.

To dream of the moon is to be in touch with the side of ourselves that is dark and mysterious.
Also, the moon can represent the relationship with one's mother.

Ra, I would think of moon as female.

These dreams came 5 years ago. Recently around 1 year, I had a moon dream but I am unable to recall it.

The moon seems to represent something mystical in me.

So, perhaps there are times in which you are unable to feel the mystical side of yourself ... perhaps there are times when you feel that various aspects of your life keep you from your mystical side, and this is when you have the dreams.

Could be. What do you think?

Forgive me for not responding immediately.

Ra, I do not think it is correct - that I am feeling disconnected from my mystical side.

I feel my dreams about moon are very important. I want to crack the meaning for my dreams.

Yesterday I had a dream about moon again. In the dream I am not sure whether the moon melts or joins, but something happens. The moon looms large in the sky and as it melts, water drops fall to the ground. I was with several other people in the dream. We started running.

Afterwards in the dream, I find myself in a place which I am not sure whether it is a hospital or a company. A girl there tells me it is a company. I have a chat with the girl. With that the dream ends. In the dream, I was unconscious for three days since the moon melts. This also the girl tells me. I have never met the girl in my waking life.

Please tell me what you think about this. I feel this dream is important.

Okkkkk....this is how I would explain this dream but well it depends how you see Raj...

I would still say after reading your dreams.
Moon represent your emotions, feelings, love, heart or maybe feminine side which you normally hide it or well men are normally suppose to hide that, isn't it ? I would go with feminine side or how you relate with feminine side or feminine feelings of other women.I can't say it in just one word.

I have found many men find it difficult to deal with women's emotions.

When your gf threw a tumbler means she threw some emotional tantrum. Your feelings melted away and you were hurt and didn't knew how to relate to it.

As for your current dream.

Isn't that all the men would run away from women's OVER emotional side and no wonder there were others too just like you. Maybe your friends who doesn't know how to relate to women's OVER emotional side.

Is there someone work related who is helping you to understand women's point of view?

OR

There can be someone who would be soon in your life to do the same.

I have never thought of women's emotions so far. So, perhaps you may be right. freebird, I think your interpretation is correct.

It will take me a few days time before the right interpretation solidifies in my mind. Meanwhile, dear knowflakes keep posted me what you think about my dream.

Ra and freebird thank you very much.

I do not think it is correct interpretation of my dream, freebird. I think the meaning is deeper than that.

Raj- You are a man?

I am assuming you are a man....
perhaps the exact interpretation doesn't quite fit, but what about expanding and thinking of it some more.. does it tweak anything?

Moon... mystical/surreal/dreams/feminine/emotions...
something hidden.
anything melting away means it is hidden from your psyche. Perhaps the Moon , to you, represents secrets that are not revealed. Something huge in the sky, coming night after night, reliably, but you are disconnectded from it, you can't fully see it.
Maybe it is an aspect of your psyche, the hidden mysterious part of you that needs to be explored.
Maybe it doesn't have to do with women, that is traditonal, an astrological interpretation.. the moon in tarot is interpreted differently... it is somewhat clandestine in nature... underworldly/otherworldly.. something that is kept from others.
Are you living truly to your ambitions?
Has someone revealed something to you that you haven't assimilated in a comfortable way? Or do you feel some one is keeping something from you?

All the three seem to be right. I just realise that the moon is an awesome force in my dreams but its meaning seems elusive. It doesn't seem to be women or my emotions. It does not seem to be anything spiritual. The meaning remains elusive. Hope I can unlock the secret in my unconscious.

wait...

Thats it! The moon represents the secrets in my unconscious that I have hidden from myself! As I type this my heart beat increases. I resonate well to this interpretation. This must be the meaning.

There are secrets in my unconscious that "melt away" or "disappear" in some manner!

I have understood the meaning of moon. What remains is understanding what the dreams themselves mean.

What do you guys think?

I'm glad those thoughts helped.
quote:
In the first dream, where I saw the moon, my girlfriend threw aa tumbler on the moon and the moon melted away

Okay, so we’ve established that the Moon is a hidden part of your psyche, and your dreams reveal the Moon disappearing in different scenarios.. the first is from a direct action your girlfriend did, in throwing something at it ( in anger?)
Maybe you do not understand the anger or frustration from another person’s perspective… so it disappears before it can assemble into something comfortable in your psyche.. you’d rather not face it?
quote:
a magician cast his spell on the moon and the moon disappeared sprially.

A magician goes with the idea of mystical, hidden things… he has the key to change, through duplicitous or magical/illusory means, something that everyone can partake of, or see. He has control , to make it melt from the sky..
quote:
the moon shatters and only a piece is left on the sky.

There is no context here, so I can’t theorize beyond what we’ve already discussed.
quote:
The moon looms large in the sky and as it melts, water drops fall to the ground. I was with several other people in the dream. We started running.
.
If you started running, there was a threatening/anxious feeling to it, you wanted to be somewhere safe. You were unconscious for three days.. the moon change affected you… you took refuge in a ‘hospital’ ( it was a healing environment, unconsciously, as you had the hospital ‘feel’ to it, even though you weren’t sure where it actually was.) You talked of it afterward, it took focus in your dream. A woman comforted you through it/gave it scope, I think that's important....
The moon is certainly telling you something in a large way… so perhaps if we can rationalize (Rationalize dreams? That’s funny!) the people with you/how you felt in relation to the moon changes ( anxious/upset/neutral, etc) perhaps you can get to the bottom of them, and confront the reason you are having these dreams.

Thank you very much, pixelpixie.

The moon melting and disappearing reflects that the secrets in my unconscious are elusive. The unconscious unexplored areas elude my grasp of them. This creates an anxious feeling.

I am still not sure what the dreams themselves mean, but here is what I think of them. Tell me what you think.

quote:

In the first dream, where I saw the moon, my girlfriend threw a tumbler on the moon and the moon melted away

My girlfriend knew certain secrets regarding me that I also know unconsciously. She is preventing me from reaching those secrets. She does something so that my unconscious eludes from me. Believe me, though this interpretation is very strange this is what I resonate to.

quote:

a magician cast his spell on the moon and the moon disappeared sprially.

Certain dark forces are preventing me from accessing the hidden regions in my unconscious. The moon left the sky spirally is an important theme, which I at present, cannot interpret correctly.

quote:

the moon shatters and only a piece is left on the sky.

This again means my unconscious is escaping my grasp of it.

quote:

The moon looms large in the sky and as it melts, water drops fall to the ground. I was with several other people in the dream. We started running.

This is a very interesting dream because I had it quite recently. Also, here I do not know whether the moon is growing or melting. This is an important difference. Most probably the moon was melting because water drops fall on the ground. I do not understand why I was running away with several other people.

This time it is the sun disappearing!

Yesterday, I dreamt of the sun disappearing! I infact dreamt of a solar eclipse.

I was in a small coaching center, where I was the only person. I was speaking to one of the faculty there. They were teaching speed mathematics. I said I had invented my own techniques in speed mathematics and I would share my techniques.

Then it happened. I went to a nearby corner food shop. I could not enter into the food shop because the stove was blocking the path. I entered into another shop and then night fell. Actually the sun has gone leaving darkness behind and it was night. It lasted for only about half an hour. I was eating my favorite dish.

Then the light came again. The eclipse was over. Actually I didn't see the sun in the dream, but I saw light in the sky. Somebody talked something about solar eclipse. Then I went back to the coaching center where they said my reading speed would be tested using a computer. I saw the computer there and found it was an obsolete, MS-DOS computer. With that the dream ended.

I would like to mention one other dream I had day before yesterday. I was going to jail to meet an imprisoned man there. I have never known him in my waking life. I do not know him in the dream also. Why I went to meet him in the dream also I do not know. His name was 'Vetrivel' (which in my language means 'successful'). I talked to him for a few minutes and then come out.

What you think of these two dreams please tell me.

Thank you.
