Ive had another really weird dream........I was in a lab, watching an experiment. I dont know why I was there. Anyhoo, the scientist said he was going to show us what happens to a spider one it has an orgasm!! He asked what kind of reaction it would produce - I said an Exothermic because we would give off heat. The spider then started convulsing and jumping on the scientists head. It jumped on the table, spun a think ring of silk and jumped in. The spider seemed to be comatose. I took a closer look at the spider and it had turned into a giant scarab beetle. The scientist was saying that the orgasm had such a deep effect on the spider that it would not eat, he put various insects in front of it but it just ignored it. Then the ex spider/beetle stuck out it tongue (which was clear like mucus) to taste some food, when it realise it was food it liked, its tongue turned black (natural spider coloured tongue) I got up and stared sculpting on a massive clay wall. I made a shape that looked like an Ancient African fertility goddess. I looked around to see everyone sculpting flowers and butterflies, so I started to copy them - I was ashamed of my sculpture. Deliverance, what do you associate with spiders? I'm not quite sure if this should be viewed archetypally, or if this is a more personal symbol. And for that matter, how about the scarab beetle? It is archetypally associated with the death and rebirth theme, immortality, and Egypt in general ... what do you think? IP: Logged |

Hi Ra,Well im scared of spiders, but I felt bad for this one because it was captured and subdued. I then felt frightend when it was coming back to awareness. As for the beetle, I was scared of that also because is was massive, it think i found the transformation from spider to beetle a bit worrying. Deli xxx IP: Logged |

Forgive me for taking so long with your dream, but there is something about it that I cannot seem to wrap my mind around. So instead of a comprehensive interpretation, all I have are disjointed thoughts, ideas, and questions. Let me present these to you and perhaps we can more clearly define what is going on here.The core of the dream certainly has something to do with transformation or change in your life, as well as creation in some form. Based on the lab/experiment, are you "testing" some thought or ideal? Are you considering factors involved in some situation/issue? Based on 'orgasm', do you feel there is an actual sexual energy behind it, or could it symbolize emotional stimulation? Or something else? What do you feel? Based on the spider/scarab, could it be that some sort of suppressed, dormant issue/situation has begun to emerge back into your awareness, being 'reborn' (scarab), as it were? Based on the spider not eating, has something affected you so deeply that you may be ignoring certain things which you need? How do you feel about any of this so far? IP: Logged | |
