I dreamed he was out of his cage ( i never take him out due to the dog---lizard would not live long -get flipped over and over I am sure)anyway I dreamed he was out of his cage and I accidentally cut him in two with the rockng chair and when I picke dhim up his head fell off! needeless to say I woke with a start and ran downstairs to make sure he was in one piece....I have no idea what to make of it it was just horrible!

Hello celticfyre

Have you been ignoring some waking life issue? Are you under a bit of stress, perhaps due to responsibilities? Have you been careless in some matter? Do you need to be more careful or observant? Do you feel guilty about something?

There are a lot of possible reasons for the dream, and they almost all boil down to anxiety or stress of some kind. It could even be directly related to your lizard. I had ferrets at one time and sometimes would have a similar dream because I didn't play with them as much as I probably could have. Maybe you feel bad about not letting him out of the cage much, but would feel worse if he got hurt. Just some thoughts.

What do you think?

Ra,

You could be right about the guilty part. He just recently came out of hibernation and had increased his activity I do feel bad about not letting him out and I have been stressed. SO goes to wonder...but I ususally don't have dreams that are that graphic in terms of things dying or getting hurt and well ...it was just disturbing and gross! (especially when his head fell off...EEWWW!
