Hey all,

I keep having dreams in the morning - so i drifit in and out of consciousness. I get the feeling these are anxiety dreams? As in, they are not deep dreams- on the surface I feel. Just wondered if anyone knows anything about the power of dreams? I.e. when you are in a deep sleep - the dreams are often more meaningful?

i can say this. when i dream of tidal waves and tornadoes, there is usually a crisis coming my way! so in a way, its sort of a sychic dream. i think if you have a reccuring theme in your dreams, you have a greater chance of catching its meaning in your waking time. does that make sense at all! it goes like this. dream>tidal wave...awake>terrible day at work. dream>tornado....awake>argument with friend caused them to leave for awhile. sort of like that!

Hello!

I think the depth of one's sleep may affect the vividness, and perhaps the symbolic content, and perhaps deep sleep provides a more substantial connection to the unconscious, but I'm not sure if it affects the meaning. I think the subconscious can relay a message just as well through a light sleep, as through a deep sleep.
