In my dream I was walking along in some place I have never seen before. I am assuming it was a desert area because there was sand everywhere but it was a nice town and a nice day. All of the sudden people behind me started yelling "sand, sand!". I looked and sand was coming the way that waves would in a flood. I knew it was going to cover people, buildings, etc and that it was a life or death situation. I only had a split second but I made this determination.... I thought, "I WILL find an air pocket and survive." I saw myself in my mind's eye surviving. The dream then switched and I was in a hospital bed, recovering but in the dream I had 2 children (I really do not have any), and one was safe but the other one had not been located yet and I wasn't sure of the outcome. I know this is a crazy dream but if anyone has any thoughts, I would appreciate it!IP: Logged |

I have no advice about interpretation, but this is a wild dream. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

Hello mysticaldream It could be suggested that the "sands of time" have buried some part of yourself and your experience, perhaps a part of your childhood self/experience. It seems as if you have recovered or healed partially from this traumatic past experience, but that there is more to find/discover. Does this strike a chord with you? If not, we'll try another perspective. IP: Logged |

You are certainly welcome. Your WILL to survive in the dream gives us indication, almost a predetermination, that you will "recover" that lost portion of yourself ... as the sands of time tend to cover things, they just as well tend to reveal. If you want to try an experiment, meditate on that dream before going to sleep, particularly the ending ... imagine that the other child is found, safe and unharmed, and embrace them both in your arms as you walk out of the hospital a very happy person. Imagining this raises the possibility/probability that, in time, difficult material may surface for you to deal with, to heal, so just be aware of that, and pay attention to your dreams. Thank you for sharing your dream. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the awesome advice; I will try that tonight. I have been trying to put aside time for meditation anyway. Recovering from childhood situations is very much something I am dealing with right now. I have made A LOT of progress but there is still progress I want to make. If that makes sense. Thank you, again, for your help.IP: Logged |
