hi ra,
for the past few years i keep dreaming abt the sea, water or swimming pools...
in my dream i am always exicited to see them and so tempted to swim but in actual life i cant swim, so in my dreams too i remind myself that i cant swim and then i start to feel tense.
last month i had a similar dream in which i am walking in to a beautiful palace kind of a building, as i walk further water starts to fill up on the floor and suddenly this water reached a level above my knee.
as i keep walking i see a swiming pool in middle of the building, i need to go across the pool to the other side to my office so i have no other option but to swim!
i am scared that i cannot swim, my bestfriend is also with me, suddenly i tell myself that i have to do it as im gettin late for work and there isnt any other option so i jump into the pool!!
i start swiming beautifully, i never knew i could swim like that, i start to show off with back strokes and really enjoy myself, i feel very light and relaxed in the water.
suddenly i remember i am getting late for work so i make my way towards my office.

before this dream i had a dream of 4-5 swimming pools side by side and the water looked so beautiful , skyblue and crystal clear it made me want to swim but i knew i cant swim so that made me scared of even trying to get into any one of the pools.

in actual life i have kind of a phobia , when i look into swimming pools or i am close to the sea, the depth of the water scares me, maybe it has to do with this?
appreciate ur reply.

Hello double trouble gemini

Very interesting dreams. I'll give this some more thought just as soon as I can. Has work been particularly stressful lately? Do you feel like your phobia and your dreams could be related to past life stuff?

These dreams are basically release dreams. Your dreaming mind is using the anxiety that deep water causes you to feel in order to release pent-up stresses/anxieties experienced in waking life. It appears that some of this stress is work related (late for work). It also appears that you have no choice but to face this stress head-on, that you have "no other option" but to continue.

Your ability to swim in the dream is your psyche's way of compensating for the stress, allowing you to feel good, confident, and relaxed, if only for the span of a night. This swimming ability could also suggest that you are able to face and overcome these issues, and that the emotional impact may not be as bad as you may fear.

How does that sound?
