As most of you know, I'm living in England for work reasons and my family is back home. Every night, for the past month or so, I've been dreaming of home. It's understandable why I am. But the thing is, what I feel in my dreams. In them,I literally think that I'm home i.e. I'm going to wake up in my own bed back in my parents house. It's so intense that I seriously believe I'm not in England. When I wake up, it's frightful, for a sec or two, that I am in England. I do miss my family, friends, my dogs etc, but on the other hand, I'm enjoying my freedom, independence, new life etc. These dreams are actually irritating me, as I want to move on... IP: Logged |

I've been away from New York City for 7 years now and I still have dreams of it like you describe. Maybe your dreams are just your mind's way of dealing with the homesickness so your waking mind can move on.IP: Logged |

Funnily enough, ever since I posted this thread, I have had no dreams of home! Although last night I did have one! Very weird-still fresh in my mind!IP: Logged |
