I had the weirdest night of sleep/dreams ever!! My dream was in three parts, all of them in between stirrings and partial consciousness, but all connected and all very bloody and frightening.

I'll try to explain this as clearly as possible, it's a bit scattered, but I've been trying to put it all together since I woke up.

The first part was in a college dorm. There is a flash to a girl in her bathroom getting ready for bed, then a flash of feet running up stairs in a cement stairwell with steel railings. Flash back to the girl, flash back to the running feet. This happens a few times, building suspense, then the girl is dead on the floor, her throat slashed. The girl is an actress on a tv show who is the daughter (in the show)of an actress I've been told many times I look just like. I don't watch this show, and would have no reason to dream about this girl, but thought I would make mention of that part in case it's relevant.

The next part of the dream is a couple in a bathroom. They have just gotten out of the shower. They are fine, standing there in the mirror together, but I know something bad is about to happen. I can almost hear a voice over telling the story of what's going to happen. The husband looks at his wife lovingly, then something changes in his expression, and he looks murderous. He looks around and sees a butcher knife, he picks it up and begins to swing it at the back of his wife's neck. She sees him coming at her in the mirror, and she just looks very much at peace, as if she knows it's 'supposed' to happen that way. As he reaches her neck, the knife becomes an axe, and he hits her with it, blood is spraying all over the place. It's all over the walls, spraying the husband in the face, the mirror is sprayed. Then the wife falls down facedown into the toilet.

The dream then flashes to somebody's voice saying how that murder was just like one that had happened many years ago in London. A little girl was killed in a very similar way, but when her killer was done, to get rid of the body, he kicked it down a ski slope and it got caught up in the middle of a race. Then the whole bloody incident plays out. The little girls body flying down the hills, leaving a trail of crimson blood behind her. The white snow becoming saturated wherever she goes. Then the racers going around her realize she is dead and start screaming.

Flash back to the college girl, but she's not dead, shes in class with a hooded rain jacket on, but she has already been slashed in the throat, she is pretending nothing has happened because she is ashamed. So she sits there in class, sweating, and bleeding and having a hard time breathing, but not telling anyone something is wrong. Then she stumbles into her dorm room and collapses dead to the floor. My mindseye sees a close up of her face on the floor, dead, wide eyes staring at me.

The next part is in London, and I'm with some semi-famous lady rockers talking about this new album they have guest vocaled for. There is a concert that night, and I attend it. I watch the first singer, and she is singing one of the other womens songs, then the next one does the same, then my favorite of them sings right to me. I am sitting on a tall stool and looking away from her, because her words are making me cry. I keep saying ''stop, please, I can't stop crying. I always cry when you sing that song.'' And she knows it's hurting me, but she has this look in her eyes, like she knows it's going to help in the long run.

Then I woke up...

So, I feel very sick inside today. Watching people get murdered, even in dreams, is pretty disturbing.

What the hell is wrong with me?

Sometimes if I watch the news it can trigger nightmares. Even if you haven't watched horror movies in years they can stick with you. And there's always commercials for upcoming thrillers. Or maybe someone was having a conversation that triggered the dreams.

The last dream of the night is the one that confuses me. What song was she singing?

When I took Intro to Psychology it was said there are 3 basic types of dreams:

1st) the brain is sorting info from the day or last few days, & tries to make a story out of it. If you are anxious you can have some pretty wild dreams.

2nd) Premonitions-self explanitory

3rd) the mind uses imagery to get your attn about something that needs to be addressed. It could be past, present or future.

The brain can also use a combo of styles. This is according to modern "Western Psyc"

The slasher dreams are probably just anx nightmares.

The 3rd one, I'm guessing, falls under catagory 3. Something needs addressed.

If you can remember the song & the significance it holds for you than it will probably give the needed clues.

Thanks, Ra. Take your time. This one really freaked me.

I had a few ideas, mainly that the three women were of three different ages (little girl, young woman, married lady), and perhaps that is a past/present/future thing? Or maybe three different sides of women, the fragile, the learning, and the wise?

Anyways, let me know when you get around to it. There are some big emotions in my life, so wondering if any of this is a clue in any particular direction.

I don't know what song it was, it was made up in the dream.

Okay Ghani, what I see is a representation of a disturbing pattern that has occured throughout your life. I believe all of the victims in this dream symbolize you, at various stages in your life - the little girl, the college girl, the woman, and then you in the present (with the singers). I think they could also repesent various aspects of your life - innocence (little girl), learning (college girl), relationships ( woman in couple).

The first three have something in common, all killed by a wound to the neck/throat. So let's look at the symbolism behind this. The neck/throat can symbolize the connection between mind and body, and injury here can suggest that there is a disconnection between your thoughts and feelings - they are severed, one from the other, not functioning in accord. Metaphysically, this is also the area of the throat chakra, the center for communication and creative expression. Injury here could suggest that you are unable to communicate, or to express, what you truly feel.

It seems likely that the deaths occur in a bathroom because you are, or were, unable to cleanse/release certain energies which you have repressed for quite some time, related to your inability to express. In fact, it is suggested that you are so used to suppressing yourself that you simply allow it to happen, as if you are resigned to this fact of fate ("as if she knows it's 'supposed' to happen that way").

It is also suggested that this issue began when you were "a little girl". Some aspect of your childhood was out of control (girl's body flying down hills), robbing you of life's energy (blood), causing you to 'freeze'/repress much emotional energy (snow). The injury to you then, the repressing of expression and emotion, follows you now.

You have given us a clue, a pointer, towards the root of this issue. You said about the college girl, "she is pretending nothing has happened because she is ashamed", and "not telling anyone something is wrong". Of what are you ashamed? What are you "pretending" has not happened? What is "wrong" that you are not telling anyone? I think if you can answer these questions, you will be closer to understanding what this dream is about, and what your unconscious self is trying to tell you.

The last scene brings us to your present condition regarding this issue ... you are again, at least unconsciously, trying to release this stuff, trying to purge yourself of pent-up material and emotion (crying). It hurts, it's painful. Just like your last sentence, "she knows it's hurting me, but ... she knows it's going to help in the long run." "She" is an aspect of your higher self.

Do you understand this? Does it strike a chord with you?

That all sounds pretty much like what I was getting, with all the details fleshed out nicely. Thank you!

I know this is an important dream, one that I believe is going to come in stages, almost like a class.. lessons will be learned, or 're-membered'. I have a huge feeling of anticipation right now, something very large is in the works for me, more spiritually than anything else. I am moving towards something, accepting something, but I know I have to clear a few things up before I can truly 'get there'.

This was dead on, once again, Thank you so much for your insight.

Namaste.

Of course, Ghani. Thank you for sharing your dream ... and keep paying attention to them.

Walk in Peace
