Another strange dream… I remember this one because the alarm clock woke me up this morning while I was still dreaming so it rose to consciousness very fresh…

We were celebrating a birthday party, like in the old days when I was a child. We were in the house I used to live when I was that age, a bunch of kids playing in the house, my sister, brother and cousins, all of us about 15 years younger…

And there was a very old man. My granddad as old as he is today (about 90 years old) walking with a stick. He was blind (my granddad is not blind in real life).

We were all running, playing hide-and-seek for the looks of it… Once we were touched with the stick, we had lost the game. I ran through the corridor and got in my bedroom. It was dark. He came after me slowly, with difficulty, but also firmly… And turn off the light in the corridor… To eliminate my advantage… I couldn’t see a thing, I could only hear his slow dragging steps and the stick… I couldn’t get out; he was blocking the door… My heart was pounding, feeling a mixture of fear and anxiety… I was trapped.

So I curled against a bed, at his feet, in silence… He hit me with the stick… “I got you!” But I didn’t move, didn’t make a sound, as if I was a bulk or a cushion… He hit me again… and doubted… “Oh, it wasn’t you…” and he left the room for the next trying to find me…

So I curled behind him and got back to the dinning room, where all the other kids had already been caught and sit smiling around the big table waiting for the game to end and start with the food…

He appeared back in the room asking where I was. The other children started laughing “Here, here!!!” I ran under the table laughing myself… I had tricked them all… I had been caught the same as them but nobody knew, not even my granddad…

And the alarm woke me up…

Hello steelrose

I'm going to need help with this one. It is just not clicking with me. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

One question ... the last sentence could reflect something ... I had been caught the same as them but nobody knew ... Is this true about some waking life issue?

One more question ... how is your relationship with your grandfather, as a child and in the present?

One thing that puzzles me ... the heart-pounding fear and anxiety you felt ... what do you think that was all about?

Hi Ra

No idea about it being a waking life issue… In my dreams I tent to be ahead of others, as if I could sense how they felt and predict things, as if I my intuition allows me go ahead and take advantage in a disadvantageous situation… I knew that if I stayed still, if I was patient I could trick him…

My relationship with my granddad? Always great… He was my father figure while I was very small as my dad was never home or willing to dedicate us any time. My granddad was always the one to take us to the countryside or just out playing. He was stern but yet nice and loving. I hold great childhood memories regarding him.

Now he is very old and fragile. Age has bent him and made him depressed because he used to be very capable and now it has to depend on others. I fear a little that he will pass away nor far from now.

I think that fear and anxiety didn’t come from what my real granddad is… It has to be a symbol… A slow old male energy chasing children with a stick… Saturn? Going through Leo (the 5th house, house of Leo, is the house of romance, children and fun)? I know it’s a bit complicated but… I’m going through my Saturn return and it’s being very tough… It’s chasing me and I’m anxious and scared of losing (the game = what I love/want/have in life).

Just an idea… What all those symbols could mean?

What an interesting dream, Steelrose!

Probably it does not make sense but I've got the impression that you managed to outwit the Old Man Saturn (!!! I never thought it was possible?) when he was going to touch (or rather hit) you with his karmic stick!

Where is you transiting/progressed Saturn?

P.S. hey Ra!

edited* aha!!! right now you are going through your Saturn Return!! thought so! (sorry I was inattentive and didn't read your post above properly) you passed the test! congratulations dear! no need to worry anymore, everything is gonna be just great!

Peri!

Today Saturn is 10º Leo. My natal Saturn is 25º Leo. The exact transit will happen twice, once at the end of this year and again in July next year… Approaching, slow as the blind old man in the dream… I also have Pluto transits going on so it is being very tough…

Tricking Saturn??? That was a kind of an undeserved way of winning the game… Crafty and cheating… Am I tricking Saturn? Am I learning the lesson? In the dream I felt I was being very clever…

Why is he blind???

I don't know why but I am sure the dream is very good! even if you think it was an underserved way of winning the game... maybe not Saturn, but something definitely karmic! I cannot explain, it's just something I intuitively feel...

Why blind? Maybe because Justice is blind and Karma is higher justice...

Hola, steelrose

Hello, Peri Thank you for your help.

I find the astrological possibilities fascinating! That is an angle that would not have entered my mind, mostly because I am so unfamiliar with it. But this is LindaLand, so most here are certainly very familiar with it, and there is every reason that the symbology would come through in dreams.

I'm going to have to start a string that asks about this symbology, so I can learn something!

I would never have associated an old man with Saturn. Thanks for the eye-opener, ladies.

Walk in Peace
