I had this dream a while ago and it's on my mind because I can't figure it out. My grandad, who died a couple of years ago, was in my dream and he was facing me, looking at me with childlike eyes (his eyes are very light blue, Piscean and watery - he was a Pisces) and what I sensed about him in real life, his quality of simple innocence I guess, was very striking to me in the dream. He seemed much more happy and free in my dream than he was in real life (probably old age and the death of my grandmother really got to him - in fact he died not long after she did). I don't recall him saying anything to me, but he was looking at me with these lovely eyes in a way that was communicative... and I watched him ice skating, going around in a big circle. I can't locate the place where the dream occured, it was just white (with obviously, a large area of white icey ground that I couldn't see the edges of). I wasn't beside him when he was ice skating, and I don't think I was joining in, just watching him from a distance skating around like he was free. (In real life, towards the end he actually broke his hip - up until then he was always fit and did a lot of walking. He just seemed to get more frail after my grandma died). I hope someone can interpret this for me.

Hello GeminiLover

I don't think there is much to interpret here. Your grandfather is happy and free.

Why has he appeared to you? Who knows, there are any number of possible explanations. Do you know if he liked to ice skate in his younger years?

Hi Ra. Thanks! That was how I first took it but then I wondered if the ice, and the circle meant anything in particular. I don't know if he ever ice skated when he was young, but I somehow don't think so - the only reason I can think of for him being in my dream is that I was thinking about the relationship between him and my grandmother, and how it worked astrologically - learning about Pisces, I felt like I finally really understood him and I got a connection to his inner life/his feelings. I never really 'got' him during his lifetime I guess, but now I finally have - it all recently just 'clicked'. So maybe my dream was about recognising those things in him. Us standing face to face and the way he looked at me was like a mutual exchange of understanding. So thinking about it, I think that's what my dream relates to.

these pop into my head when i read this:

ice/white= purity, heaven

circle- home, peace...

he is telling you hes happy, maybe? a simple letter in your dreams to let you know all is fine.
