I had the most bizarre dream last night but when I awoke I was less disturbed than curious. I dreamt that I was sitting with a young, swarthy man whom I did not recognize. He was handsome and relatively young (late 20s). He wanted to kiss me but I was clearly uncomfortable, reluctant even. Each time he leaned in toward me, I began to pull back. At the same time my hands, palms, the wrists and backs revealed cross hatched scars that appeared to be healed yet they would suddenly open up each time he touched me and begin to bleed profusely. I asked him to stop until I could call my mother upstairs and show her my hands. My mother is actually deceased and was a Catholic convert though not practicing. I am a cradle but recently lapsed Catholic. IP: Logged |

Hello Lilygirl Kissing could symbolize closeness, sharing energies, passion, or something of that nature. Mythologically, a kiss can awaken, or transform. I think we may be dealing with a couple of these things. The hands can symbolize the way in which we embrace, react with, or otherwise "handle" the world around us. They can also represent communication. Therefore, wounds to the hands indicate some problem or issue in this area. So, the dream could suggest the re-awakening of old wounds, perhaps emotional or psychological, due to some recent experience, symbolized by the kiss attempt. It is also suggested that there is need for care or nurturance (call mother) with this issue, which could have it's roots in childhood. Do you think there is more to the symbology of your mother? What do you think? IP: Logged |

Well do wish she was alive as I could use some guidance on my life right now! LOL.... Nurturance to I suppose. Thanks for the analysis... IP: Logged |

She needn't be 'alive' to provide a bit of guidance, or at least support ... she is with you, you can believe that, and as soon as you and she can resonate more closely, she will be able to more easily communicate with you on a subconscious, and even conscious, level. Do you believe that? IP: Logged | |
