I think the gist of the first dream is illustrated by your statement ...
"it felt as if I hid my relationship with this guy from [Mother]"

Here, I believe your mother represents your emotional/intuitional aspects, which leads me to think that you are "hiding" the reality of this relationship from your emotions/intuition. Could this be so?

The 'Sex in a library' dream could indicate that there are lessons being learned, or knowledge being aquired, through the dynamics of this "relationship" on a subconscious or unconscious level (basement). In other words, it could be that you are not consciously aware of what this issue is teaching you, yet.

I realize this is probably not exactly what you want to hear, but that is pretty much the way I see it at the moment. There are certainly other ways to look at it, and I could be completely wrong, so let us know if anything rings true to you, or not, and we can go from there.
