Topic: Strange house Dream, interpetation?

For several years I've had this same dream, on and off, and it always involves a houses. These houses are never the same but with one thing in common, they are all beautiful big luxury houses with incredible decor on the inside(marble floors, silk rugs, tapestries, incredible artwork,etc). First I enter the house, and I am always amazed at how wonderfully splendid it is. I walk through the house slowing enjoying every room I encounter, and I always think to myself this is 'my' place this is where I 'belong'. I continue my stroll through the house and as usual(it never fails)I come across a dark strange looking hall way, so I take a look down the hallway area to see what kind of beauty may be hiding down that way. The second I step into one of these rooms, all I see burned wood, torn up walls, a dull type of gray color type aura surrounds the room and me, with a haunted thing about it(looks alot like something out of a horror movie)this intense fear comes over me and I can't control how terrified I feel. I try running from this room, to get as far as I can from it(I've woke up screaming at times) to find the beauty in this house again but it seems this room is following me and it will not let me forget it's there, even when I try searching for the beauty that I had just seen only moments ago. No matter how beautiful or comforting the house may feel or seem there is ALWAYS some kind of ugliness in one of it's rooms that is there waiting for me to find it. So what could it possibly mean? Hello libraschoice  The beautiful houses represent your mind/psyche ... and the houses are so Libra-like. As a fellow Libran, I understand the appreciation we have for the "finer things", not that we particularly need them or want them for the prestige of it or anything, but just the fact that we appreciate fine quality and beautiful surroundings. Anyway, these houses are a good representation of you inner self and the complexity/wonder of the mind/psyche. So, this is 'your' place, this is where you 'belong'. That said, the dark, strange looking hallway is also 'yours', but it represents an aspect of yourself , or of your experience, which is hidden, secret, unknown or unacknowledged. It is a part of yourself which has perhaps been ignored and could suggest that it's origin is in your past (haunted, "it will not let me forget it's there", "room is follwing me"). What brings up in you these things ... "intense fear", feeling "terrified", something full of "ugliness"? What ever it is, it is "waiting for [you] to find it", it is trying to break out of your unconscious mind (dark room) and into your conscious awareness (beautiful, comforting house) ... or it affects your conscious awareness from the unconscious realm. You know something, that could be it. But what part of me am I not willing or 'afraid' to face. Thats what I don't understand, I seem to be only aware of it in my dreams. But when I am awake nothing like that bothers me and just fine. Do you recommend hypnotherapists, or do you think that would be a waste of time(mabe get really deep into my mind)? This dream needs to stop, it's getting really old.IP: Logged |

Hello libraschoice Sorry to leave you hanging. I think hypnotherapy is a great idea, not a waste at all. If you really want to get to the root, I think you will eventually dream it, but hypnosis could certainly speed things up. IP: Logged |

Hypnotherapy was not what I thought it was going to be, it was different, but I can't really recommend it to people seeking a drastic change right away, because sometimes it takes several sessions... ------------------
