Topic: dream that stayed with me

I had a very unusual dream last night.
I dreamed that I was outdoors and there as a huge brick staircase/wall that I wanted to climb. The problem was that there were workers in the process of building the staircase....the bottom few were completed but the mortar between the bricks was still wet. I was determined to go up anyway because inside I felt compelled to (I don't know why.....) I made it up all the stairs that had been completed without any of them sliding or coming apart and then I decided to climb the wall the rest of the way. There were horizontal 2 by 4's that had been put in place where the stairs would eventually be. I kept climbing and then realized my arms were almost too tired to hang on. I was so high up I knew if I let go I would fall and die. After looking down, I was also too panicked to go up any further. I just held there because I didn't know what to do. Then one of the workers came from the top of the wall and grabbed both of my arms and helped me climb the rest of the way up. When I climbed the last 2 by 4, I knew all I had to do was fall forward onto my knees because there was a safe walkway there. The wall was actually the outside to a stadium and the last thing I saw before I woke up was the filled outdoor stadium...... I came "in" at the top of the stadium by climbing over the wall????
I woke up immediately after the dream and it has stayed with me all day. If anyone has any thoughts, I would welcome them.  IP: Logged |

Hello mysticaldream "I wanted", "I was determined", "I felt compelled", "I was too panicked" ... these things describe something going on in your life. The dream seems to describe something in which you undertook without a completed game plan or path, but that you forged ahead with anyway, with much effort, only to find that you may have taken the hard way without really realizing it. School? Work/job? But you did make it! How did you feel when you saw the filled stadium?  IP: Logged |

Thanks Ra; I think that's pretty insightful.
Job/work has been an issue with me lately. It isn't that I don't have a job.......it's that it's a JOB and I have no passion for it.
I have been thinking alot lately about how I want to do something that pays the bills and is satisfying to my SOUL......... I can't seem to reach any conclusions. So maybe it's something to do with that situation.How did I feel when I saw the filled stadium? Surprised .......and shocked when I realized there were simple entrances..... 
I can be pretty stubborn when I set my mind on something so I can see that being very true to life. Thanks again for the help; you have a real gift. IP: Logged |
