Ok, this is weird... When I was at high school I had a raging crush on this guy who I was too shy to talk to. He was so gorgeous! For years after leaving school I always wondered what happened to him... in fact I wondered about him for 12 years. (Sounds like an obsession, I know - but it wasn't a constant topic on my mind, just something I thought of now and again ). Since my new relationship that started last year, that old crush doesn't interest me anymore. Now what is strange is that last night I had a dream about him! I dreamed that he had moved to another town since leaving school, and had returned to visit his mother; and when I saw him it dawned on me that he was a girl, or at least very very feminine - too feminine for me. I just looked at him from a distance and realised he wasn't what I was looking for after all. Do you think I can take this dream literally - that I realise he's not what I was looking for? Or is there another meaning to it?IP: Logged |

Hey GeminiLover! I will leave this to the experts but something dawned on me while reading your dream, could it be that the reason you liked him in the first place is becaue he is touch with his feminine side? Or the opposite, you now look back on your crush as an inconsequentional incident because he was not in touch with his feminine side as much as you would want a man to be as opposed to your current partner? You sort of look at this crush from a spiritual evolution perspective, balancing of Yin Yang in a relationship and in a partner. IP: Logged |

Hmm... in a way I think both of your suggestions are right! Firstly, he did have long-ish hair and was quite slim - which gave him a slight touch of effeminacy, which I tend to like. And on the other hand, looking back he wasn't really *that* feminine but my current partner is very much more so in touch with his own feminine side (he's a Gemini, I guess he can't help it! lol)... it's like, his masculine and feminine natures are in complete balance and he has no problem at all with being in tune with his more feminine side as well as the masculine; that, I believe, IS something I've always looked for. So your two suggestions sound right to me, Neptune's Muse! (I would never have thought of it, so thanks!!) IP: Logged |
