Hey!

I had a very long dream this morning and I've forgotten everything except for one crucial part.

I was in a room and all I can remember is seeing a square hole near the bottom of one of the walls. I needed to get through the hole to the other side. My thoughts were something like "I can't do this. It's too small, my knee hurts (I've dislocated my knee in real life about a month ago) and I have a huge backpack on."

Then I remember trying to squeeze through the hole with my sore knee and huge backpack. I made it through!

I woke up in an X position on my back. Feeling very weird.

I don't remember anything else from my dreams but I think this is very significant..

Can't wait to hear your take on this!
Thanks

Hello shirty

Do you recall what this room looked like, or how it felt to you? Was there any light? Was it mostly empty, or full of stuff? Can you say what it was made of - stone, wood, etc.?

What was the feeling you had about needing to get to the other side? I mean, was there an urgency? Were you trying to escape, continue with something, or was it like a test/puzzle? What, and how, did you feel?

What is the X position? Arms/hands folded across chest?

Anything more you can relate would help a great deal, especially about how you felt and what the nature of the room was.

Also, is there any way you can describe "feeling very weird"? How so?

Hi Ra,

I will do my best to be more specific this time!

The room, as I remember it, was a light concrete. Very cold. My focus was very much on the wall that held the hole, so I cannot say if the room was empty or not, but only that this was not important to me at the time.

The lighting of the room was a natural sunlight, but colder because of the concrete walls.

There wasn't a sense of urgency -- it was more of a "I know I have to do this, but how tedious" kind of feeling. I didn't want to do it even though I knew I had to, and could, if I just made the necessary effort.

So I guess you could say continuing with something, though I'm not entirely sure.

As for the position, I realize that what I meant to call it was a star position. My legs splayed and both of my arms extended to each side of my body, lying on my back.

The weird feeling was, well, weird! I woke up still lying in that star position, and feeling very peaceful.. I mean normally when I wake up I move around a lot or stretch, or SOMETHING, but I had no desire/need to move. I think I only moved when I got creeped out at the fact that I had been sleeping like that! I am a pretty tight sleeper, and often curl up around the covers to sleep. So this was out of the ordinary for me.

I hope this helps, it has been a while since I had the dream!

Thanks

Hello shirty

You said in describing the dream ... "I know I have to do this, but how tedious" kind of feeling. I didn't want to do it even though I knew I had to, and could, if I just made the necessary effort.

These statements probably reflect a situation or issue that was going on at the time of the dream. Can you think of what it might be?

Besides that, I feel there is another level of meaning to the dream, a reflection of something deeper. To me, the feeling is one of initiation. Many of the symbols could indicate this, especially in conjunction with the position you awoke in and the weird feeling you had.

The way I am seeing it, the waking life situation/issue reflected by the dream may have also been a point of advancement in your inner or spiritual life. Does that make sense? Kind of like a test passed in your material world which had a spiritual reward. That's the feeling I get.

What do you think?

I loved your response, Ra. Thank you!

I've been thinking about this dream a lot over the past week, and I think I can pinpoint it's meaning.

I've had a very rough 6 months in terms of figuring out where I am going in life (and, if with someone, who). I had my priorities very confused. I didn't do very well last year in University and my health suffered as well. I dislocated my knee, and visited the doctor's FAR too many times for my liking.

In the month leading up to that dream, I had been feeling as if I knew exactly what was going to happen to me next. Everyone I met seemed familiar, conversations were predictable.. I would put myself through situations, knowing fully well what the outcome would be if I just followed through with each step.

Soon, I realized that I have this ability. I think we all do. To see into our future and realize how our decisions and actions will alter our path.

I've had a huge shift in priorities. I am enjoying school a lot more now, eating better, sleeping more, and keeping myself FAR away from the emotional vampires who've been sucking me dry lately.

Basically I think I've entered a "me" stage.. where I need to focus on what will benefit my growth the most. A cleansing, if you will.

That's what I think, anyway. Thanks again for your insights, they helped me a lot!

Rebirth?

Rebirth/Transmutation is challenging and pain must be faced (the pain felt from the emotional vampires that brought about realizations/change?), which may mean that you were prepared to face the pain, knew you could, although you knew it would be diffult to.

Fitting through a small hole ( possibly symbolizing the Birth canal?)...the hole being square seems significant, perhaps accentuating the hesitancy of feeling challenged to adapt yourself to fit through. The backpack may represent the weights of the past you would be carrying with you (baggage) that would be difficult to just shrug off and make it more difficult to pass through onwards to change.

I sense this dream was a significant representation, as Ra wrote, of your present spiritual growth. The feelings of peace and contentment after you woke up, confirming you are more intune with yourself and are more flowing in life with confidence in your own Truths. The star position you described seemed Free. (stretched out, arms open wide for new acceptance)

Cool dream!
