Had a dream that I found my great-grandmother's engagement ring in a small box with other trinkets in a dusty closet. I put it on my finger knowing I was supposed to have it.
The ring was white gold (nothing at all like my great-grandmother's actual ring) with filigree that made the band very wide.

What makes me wonder is the dream was so focused on this ring, I put it in on my ring finger and had to squeeze it past the knuckle only to find the band was so wide I couldn't close my finger.

I don't know where to begin with this one! Help!

Really? I wouldn't have thought it was so simple as that. Its a nice thought though!

I guess the thing that had me intrigued was that the ring was hard to get on and when it was on I couldn't bend my finger.

Any thoughts on that bit?

maybe you want to get married, and can't find the perfect fit(man) and the finger not being able to bend might mean your direction towards marriage isnt moving the way you want it(fingers indicating direction).

just a guess, hope this helps.

Well I guess I would like to be married but I believe it should only happen once and the thought of making a mistake leaves me terrified. I literally get heart palpitations and the sweats thinking about getting married. Even Peri's message made me sweat.

I procrastinated about it so much for 7 years with my ex, kinda thought I'd stick with him forever through better or (lots of) worse but the thought of actually marrying him made me panic and feel sick so I never set the date.

I'm a hopeless romantic terrified of marriage and happy ever after, how bizarre!

Well, maybe you will not get officially married but your relationship will become more committed and emotionally mature.

the ring was hard to get on and when it was on I couldn't bend my finger this part of dream explains how you feel about it it should only happen once and the thought of making a mistake leaves me terrified. I literally get heart palpitations and the sweats thinking about getting married = it is very difficult for you to make up your mind to enter a serious relationship whether it is marriage or not and when you are in relationship, it might probably make you feel 'trapped'(could not bend my finger) but this is how you percieve it, in fact, a massive gold ring is a good sign, seems the relationship with this guy is worth it; the fact that this is your great-grandmother's engagement ring (found in a dusty closet) may suggest that the relationship is not new.

You may have a point. That makes sense to me. Especially since my ex was so unbelievably controlling I couldn't even leave the living room to go to the toilet without him asking where I was going. I guess I'm scared to get into something like that again. Maybe I equate a relationship with a jail term. Lol (not!)
Thanks guys!
