What a very interesting dream! The symbology in general must refer to the near emergence of some particular unconscious material ... so many of the symbols mean just that. So what is it? It has something to do with your father, or perhaps just that type of energy, and it is probably rooted in the past, which the library suggests. And it is something currently unknown to you, or unacknowledged (unknown lover), but soon-to-be "presented", perhaps. And this is probably something good, as opposed to the oftentimes repressed type of negative situation ... at least it seems that way.
The dream could also reflect certain needs/desires that you have for your life. Perhaps you feel alone.
I am hoping the dream is suggesting that your lonliness will not be much longer, but I can not be sure of that. It does seem to be saying quite clearly, though, that this all is tied into your self confidence, at the least, and maybe through your writing as well.
Maybe you will come to some sort of sudden (surprise presents/you were not prepared) realization that includes connections to your past, your father, your self, maybe even someone else 'unknown', your talents, your abilities, your present, your future.
Okay, enough rambling. Not exactly a polished interpretation, but it's a start. I don't usually just think out loud like that, but hey, nothing wrong with throwing out some possibilities while they are in my head ... beats waiting for who-knows-how-many-days for me to "polish" it up.

How is the relationship with your father? What do you think he represents? If you could ask him, "why are you in this dream?", what do you feel he might say? And what would he tell you is his connection with your unknown lover? What is your first feeling?
