Hi guys!!

Had a dream last night that has me quite confused--need a bit of help here.

A bit of history, I prayed for a dream last night to help with a dilemma I am dealing with; a gentleman friend who has become very close to me and reciporcates the feelings, despite him having a gfriend, and since he lost his job he is looking for employment anywhere, even outside of the city where we live. I have told him how I feel, but I know I need to let him go, which is not a problem, just in what capacity is my dilemma--forever, without hope, etc.

The dream:

I was lying in my bed looking out of the window and saw an awesome heavenly orb and had to get out of bed to check it out (in real life my bedroom doors leading to outside face the east so I often view spectacular full moons rising.) This orb was huge and appeared to be a blood red moon, however there was a fluid appearance to it and kind of misty, and I observed the full moon to the left of the orb. All of a sudden it dropped out of the sky and fell into a body of water that just happeded to be below me. Then I was not in my room or house, but a different room and house. It made a big splash and I noticed a grey house next door was being cast about in the waves off of it's foundation. Then from the depths rises a dragon, who quickly flew up to the 2nd story sliding glass door where I was standing and kept attempting to "get" me. His attempts failed the all of a sudden he changed in to a very small witch. She too, was trying to get me from outside the glass. Then she changes into a stuffed doll witch, still animated, but not so threatening, so I opened the door to the outside and I remember being very careful since there was no deck or patio, just dropped down 2 stories to catch the little stuffed witch and squashed her.

Then I woke.

Thanks in advance!

Terri

Hello Terri

Very interesting dream. Do you feel like this dream was in answer to your request?

I'll have a closer look just as soon as I can.

Do you remember how you felt when you squashed the witch?

What other emotions, if any, did you feel during this dream?

It felt like relief when I squashed the witch! I was only a little scared that they were trying to get me, more intrigued at the whole thing, especially when the grey house started rolling in the waves!!

And dragons, I have contemplated, mean little to me. Never been a dragon fan. If anything, maybe a mythic, fantasy creature, either good or evil.

I rarely remember my dreams, so I feel in some very symbolic way this may have been an answer!

Thanks

Terri

Well, I think the dragon-turned-witch-turned-doll kind of represents the diminishing of the initial threatening nature of the situation. The dragon represents the unconscious, perhaps archetypal, type of energy that you are faced with, probably manifesting through the emotions, as emotional energy ... which could very easily also be indicated by the full moon, another symbol for emotional energy/activity.

In this line of thought, then perhaps the dream begins by suggesting that energies from your higher self (red, heavenly orb) are indeed entering your dreaming (in bed) awareness (window), thus perhaps giving you a clue that this is a response. Just a thought.

Anyway, if the gist of this be true, then maybe the dream is suggesting that the issue will lessen in strength as time goes on, and in the end, perhaps you will feel relief when you finally squash it.

I was also thinking that maybe the grey house symbolizes your gentleman friend. How do you feel about that? And what, then, do you think it means? (especially taking in consideration how you felt about the grey house in the dream)

What do you think about all of this, Terri?

Ra

Thank you for giving my sleep state drama consideration!

Acutally, I considered the whole "squashing" thing at the beginning. Like maybe my answer was to take control and take charge--that feels right anyway.

And my guy couuld very well be the grey house rocking in the waves--his life is quite tumultuous at present and I feel from time to time that he is being bounced around on the waves of the emotions of our attachment.

Will consider further--

Thank you

Terri
