I was offering soup to my brother in law (in real life he is schizophrenic and I havent seen him for a long time).

It was vegetable soup with baked potatoes in it!!! First when I asked him he refused and then said okay. I asked him what he wanted with it and he replied "fish fingers".....

Anyone?

I honestly do not know.

Giving soup to your "sick" brother in law seems to be an obvious reference to healing, but I have no idea if this is somehow about him, the family in general, or if it reflects yourself in some way.

I get the feeling that this has to do with your own emotional healing (food often represents emotioal dynamics), perhaps in relation to, or reconciliation with, aspects of your own mental processes. But again, I am really not sure.

Anyone else?

I think you are right about the healing though, I am going through quite a process at the moment, and I am eating far tooooo much....(soup included)..
