Could someone explain to me again how to tell an astral visit dream from just your typical "wish fulfillment" or other dream? Also, any difference between your subconscious/higherself sending you a message through a dream vs. just wish fulfillment dream??

Hello CapGirl

I think one of the main differences would be in the way the dream feels. Wish fulfillment dreams will probably feel like pretty normal dreams, whereas an astral visit will usually have a whole other quality.

As far as a message from your subconscious/higher self goes, I believe all dreams include this, even if it is just a wish fulfillment.

Make any sense?

Yes, I believe they feel very different! It's like they're actually real... I can't explain it but it's just so REAL. My grandmother, grandfather and another person I've never met but who 'knows me' have all visited me in my dreams. They just feel different and immediate and you and the other person are 'right there'. Once I had a weird dream with my grandmother in it and it felt different, it wasn't like the other ones with her - it was actually creepy and I don't know what was going on with that dream but it wasn't really her and the dream wasn't as 'real' as the other ones. :-/ That one worried me for a while. Anyway, I've also had a dream or two about another person which seemed real, but that person is alive so I'm just not really sure... I did have a dream about him once which I told him about and it held significance for him - my dream told me something I didn't previously know about him. So I'm not too sure if my dreams about that person are astral meetings or some other connection.

Another dream I had with my bf, it was so real like I was really interacting with him - and it turned out he had the same dream (or at least very similar) on the same night. It was a very strange feeling. Like, we were sleeping side by side but I had met him on another plane. (Ra, do you think we have this effect on each other because our individual Jupiters fall in each other's 12th house?)

Anyway, from experience I can say that these dreams are so REAL in their experience you'll feel different about them than other dreams. When you wake up you feel... like 'something happened'.

A very interesting question!

Well, I`m not totally sure about astral visits - I used to firmly believe in them and still do to a certain degree (at least I want to believe it`s true and something in my soul insists that it actually can happen)-, but I noticed that there are dreams that feel different from other dreams, and that there are also dreams that take place in the realm between sleep and awakeness, where both realities, the phyiscal and the dream-reality, seem to be equally real.

I agree, there are some dreams, and when you awake from them you feel, something has "happened".
I also agree, that you`re immediately there, totally in those dreams.
But for me they share another thing. I have been talking about those dreams I had about that celebrity (and no I`m not saying I payed him an astral visit, probably more wishfulfilling from my side), and there were some of those dreams, which felt different.
First of all those dreams always started with a sense of floating, as if I was floating towards the ceiling. Then there was some kind of a gap, I don`t remember anything of that time, it was just like a blank space. And then I kind of "awoke" into that dream. and the thing is, I felt so different. As if the way, I perceive my environment had changed; it`s hard to explain. And even though in those dreams he seemed so real to me, so physical.
But everything else, the background was kind of distorted, and most noises were muffled. As if both of us were in focus (in my focus probably) and everything else was unfocussed, and I had to try to focus my sight. It was as if there was some kind of mist around us.
It were very unusual dreams, and I was feeling sluggish and very sharp-minded at the same time. Strange. I`mn ot sure what exactly this was, but it didn`t feel like a normal dream.

Oh something interesting, strange and funny happened.
I have a friend, I know only from the internet and we have grown close together over the last 2 years, since we`re growing spiritually in a very similiar way, I think.
However, she yesterday wrote me about a dream of hers she had last saturday. The content surprised and shocked her and also she wrote how different it felt, as if "someone from outside had come into her dreams".
Actually the person she had been dreaming of was Tom Cruise. He had tried to approach her in an inappropriate way; she told him to get lost, and then her husband appeared in that dream and kind of beat Tom up.
However, that is not the strange thing and the reason, why I almost spat my coffee over my keyboard, when I read that.
The reason is that I had a little dream on sunday or monday, in which Tom approached me, too.
He actually was sitting before me and whining about how "she doesn`t want me". He looked bad; red eyes and swollen nose and lips (he actually looked as if he had been in a fight). But the more he whined, the more upset I got. And also I didn`t get what the hell he did want of me. And without knowing any details I had the feeling he had deserved whatever had happened to him. And so I politely told him to go.
It was a very strange piece of a dream. And since it was so strange, I didn`t think of it. It also didn`t feel like a message of my Higher Self to myself.
But now, in the light of the dream of my friend, I`m quite a bit amazed.
And the thing is neither her nor me like him at all; we haven`t seen anything with him on TV. We have never talked about him. He was just absolutely unimportant to both of us.
So we have no idea why we had such a strange dream of him and why it seems that my dream was a coninuation of her dream.
Strange things happen in this november.

Oh gosh, that's so weird! I've had those 'continuing another person's dream' dreams - twice, with my mother. I don't know what it means, although I would be interested to find out!
