I have a really bad phobia of bees almost all of my life and I've been dreaming of them for the past couple of days now.

The first one was the dream that they had built a nest inside the walls of my house again (this happened some years back....it was a nightmare for me). And bees were in my room.

In the second one, I was eating dinner with my family. There was a bee in my rice and chicken. I tried to eat around the bee but somehow ended up eating the "shell" of the bee. Ohhhh, it was so gross. As I got up to throw away the bee my dad scared me and I dropped the plate of rice with the bee on it. My dad picked up the bee and threw it at me. (Note that when we were young children, my dad had some "unconventional" and not-so-pleasant ways of making us deal with our fears)

The latter is the most repulsing dream I've ever had.

Hello Dulce Luna

Well, facing some kind of fear/anxiety is the obvious part. I'll be back as soon as possible.

It could be that something you fear, something that causes you great anxiety, threatens to enter your life, or already has. Perhaps there is something you are afraid to "incorporate" (eat) into your life, and are trying your best to avoid or work around (eat around bee).

What is it? What has recently caused this anxiety in you? The dream could suggest that it is family related, or some other relationship ... is this so?

Well, it could be two things. The first is that my grandfather is coming to visit the us in the States. I am happy an a little anxious at the same time since he's from a completely different time and culture. I don't know how things will go while he is visiting us. It hasn't really made me anxiety-ridden until today ofcourse. My family has actually left to go to get him at Logan Airport as I speak.

The second possibility does involve a "relationship". I have something I want to tell him but am afraid to.It's nothing bad, but you read between the lines and figure it out . You'd think since we've been together for a year it would be so easy for me to say so.

I don't know what to think. I also want to add that the image of the bee in the second dream was with me throughout the entire dream. Like before the dinner when I was doing everyday activities, the bee was just somehow...there.

What do you think the last part of the second dream suggests? (My father throwing the bee at me).

That bee ... it seems to represent this fear of yours which simply will not go away, cannot be avoided, and will persist until you confront it.

Just tell him.
