Topic: A dream that something bad happened to my sister

I really did not like this dream, I found it upsetting... hopefully an explanation will put my mind at rest. I dreamed that she went for a walk in the morning at the botanical gardens and by about 5pm she had still not come back and I had a terrible feeling that something bad had happened to her. My mum and my sister's dad were worried too. I had an awful feeling that she had been raped and murdered. And I wanted to get the police to search for her but they wouldn't search until the next day. Then she was in front of me and she looked sad and I asked if she was ok and she said she was ok, but it seemed more like it wasn't really her - kind of like a ghost but not quite. She had such a sad expression and she looked tired and pale.  I was holding her hand and I felt so sad for her. We were in a plant glasshouse at the botanical gardens. (It was like my family lived there or something) I do feel sad for her in real life because of an illness she has and because she gets so sad. She is a Cancerian and has had a lot of painful hurts. Maybe my dream is because I am subconsciously really worried about her? The dream makes me really sad and worried when I think about it!

I think that you are consciously worried about your sister don't you?You said she has an illness so it would be very huamne of you to worry about her. I think dreams can often simply be expressions of conscious thoughts/emotions. You are worried about her when you're awake, aren't you? IP: Logged |

Yeah that's true, but it seems more unconscious - it's not an ongoing thing at the front of my mind, but it is an ongoing thing in her life and I do think about it. I feel like things are worse for her at the moment, and I guess I have fears for her. So maybe it is that... IP: Logged |

It is that, most likey. The dream suggests that simply providing the right kind of atmosphere, one of nurturing and growth and beauty (botanical garden), is the best thing you can do.  IP: Logged |
