I basically agree with you, but my perspective is a little different, and my words a little more positive.

The first part of the dream could identify a dynamic between your working life and your love life. It could be suggested that your focus on work has been keeping you from focusing on your love life ("I took off from work. Then my boyfriend came to me ..."). You saw HR and your family because this is about "close associations", as you said ... and Human Resources.

There are different ways to look at this next little snippet, and this one may be completely wrong, but it looks the most simple to me ... intuitive (mom speaking to mom) and/or psychic information (telephone conversation) could be telling you that a man(?) is coming your way ("he is coming to see your daughter"), and perhaps you should begin to prepare yourself (soap, shower/"get ready for him").

I had that thought before your most recent post, and in light of that, I wonder if this man I spoke of has something to do with your actual job or a boss rather than some lover. Anyway ...

The last part of the dream is interesting. To me, it appears as if this is a symbolic "celebration" of progress you are making.

The square delineates boundaries, especially as related to an area of confinement, or transformation in your life. Here, we are looking at transformation (surprise! ). The square relates to four, and the numbers three and four are tightly interconnected where transformative energies are at work, and so symbolize that very thing, transformation/change.

Three can also symbolize consciousness, whereas pigs can, seemingly conversely, symbolize unawareness and even sacrifice.

So, the way I see it, some sort of unconscious energy, or an aspect of self which is unaware, is transforming (which is also symbolized by cooking) upon a background of more harmonious energies (orchestra) which you have recently been providing yourself.

What is being transformed? The clue lies with the "distant relative" and his "attitude". I believe this is a reflection of something within yourself, an attitude that you have, (perhaps toward men) that is being transformed, and it is the changing of this attitude which is part of the "preparation" for the man, or whatever the man represents, which could be coming into your life.
