Last night I dreamed lucidly about a small town, a small unpainted house and a cell phone I found and was tryig to return to someone-my grandmother was in this dream. She died about 23 yrs ago. In this dream she was active and strong and busy. There was an area of very green color that was a garden very thickly planted with what seemed to be marijuana type plants. Everything else in th dream was a bit drab in color. Many other people around doing various jobs or chores-I guess (it would take pages to tell all)
Tonight I dreamed someone was sleeping with me (not sexually) but close and comfortable. It was my dad who died about 4 yrs ago. I really didn't remember he had died until later in this dream and didn't let it bother me when I remembered-it was nice to be close to him. We were in the same place as the previous dream but there was just us-when we'd leave the house and come back, we'd discover the back door open. One time we came back early so to find out who was doing this. The door opened and there was a young boy about6, and two older boys. I tried to spank the littler one but didn't really-my dad talked to one of the older ones while the other one kept climbing and playing around on a chain link fence in the back yard-I told him to stop but he didn't. Later I decided to go back to the house to spend the night and my mom wanted to sleep there with me in case my dad came back so she could see him and visit with him-so when we were laying there i was comfortable too with her. then I realized calmly sometimes she was her and sometimes she was him. My mom is still alive at 85 yrs old. I am wondring if these are premonitions of her or my death.

I think the first dream is an indication that your grandmother is doing much work on the other side, and it could also be a reminder to you that life very much continues after physical death. Why this dream, now? I do not know.

The second dream could simply be a reflection of your thoughts and concerns about the death of your mother. Or it could be some sort of premonition, as you said, or preparation.

I can't say if it is a premonition, but there are certainly symbols which could lead one to think that, so I see what you mean. It could be that your father was there for comfort, and perhaps to begin to bridge the gap between here and the other side, or to make that connection for the sake of preparing you. A door is a transition symbol, and the back door being opened could suggest an unexpected, unwanted (to you) type of transition, one which you would rather not think much about. The number three is also related to change/transition (the three boys).

So, again, I see what you mean. At the least, these dreams reflect the subconscious workings of your mind as you contemplate this issue. More important than any of this is how you feel about it. How do you feel about the dream? What do you feel the content symbolizes?
