I thought it was quite normal to remember your dreams, or at least be aware of having dreamed that night, but I'm beginning to think it's not..

Most people I ask say they rarely remember their dreams. I remember AT LEAST one dream every night, usually two, but often three different ones, even though sometimes elements from one of them follows me in to the next (last night it was a hotdog, heh heh).

An ex of mine called some of my dreams "over-normal", like the ones where I dream of setting my alarm clock, or changing my appointment at the doctor, and end up oversleeping or missing the appointment I thought I rescheduled...

I once got really ****** off at my mother, because I remember her bringing me some mail the day before, and when I asked her about it she said she didn't remember, and I couldn't find it, so I got really angry and accused her for losing it... *blush*

I also read things in my dreams, things I think I don't know and need to find out, and in my dream I read this in a book or someplace else, and when I wake up I suddenly have this "new" information

The most annoying is dreaming of checking what time it is, when I have to get up to catch a program on tv or something, and then I will usually have to try to check the time 4-5 times, catching myself doing it in my dream a few times before I realize that I really have to open my eyes and wake up to get the real time, heh heh.

In addition to that I have all the "normal" kinds of dreams, heh heh, if there is such a thing

So, what is your impression of how often most people remember their dreams?

Hello Fluke

From what I can tell, it runs the full spectrum. Like you, I am a prolific dreamer, and so are many others who post here. But there are plenty of people who only dream sometimes, and just as many who rarely dream at all. We don't see many from the latter group because, well, they don't dream much. (or don't remember dreams)

That's what I've noticed!
