I am thinking that some dynamic or pattern in your current relationship is similar to that with the ex ... this is why, in the dream, "My ex was in between me and my boyfriend." Something from the past is affecting the present.
Has there been some particular issue brewing between you and your boyfriend? Whatever it is, it could be suggested that you have been there before, with the ex. Is this so?
It may not be obvious to you, as your other dreams suggest that there is unconscious material at work (wild animals), and it is difficult to recognize that which we are unaware of.
Now, I do not positively know that the first two dreams are in connection with your relationship, that's just a guess, but since these dreams are lumped together, it's worth considering.
In the first dream you are handling an alligator, a primitive animal, which can symbolize instinctual or unconscious energy/material. This creature can bite you, but you are focused upon it's non-threatening parts. Does this mean that you are unaware of, or ignoring, something which could "bite" you? Or does this mean that what appears to be harmful has something good about it? I'm leaning towards the former.
In the second dream you are handling kittens, cute! But these also can symbolize instinctual or unconscious energies/material, especially since they are wild and black, and these kittens aren't really that cute, are they? They are sickly, dis-eased, and they have scratched/bitten you, causing you concern, and perhaps indicating that you want to be "healed" (hospital), at least on a subconscious level, of whatever energy/material they represent.
Can you make sense of this? What do you think?
