But what does it mean when someone dreams that their partner cheated on them?

My gf dreamt that I cheated on her with a blonde girl, who was apparently very attractive and it was the best sex of my life.

[I am not sure who told her about the sex: if I said it..or if someone else in the dream told her, if that is important. and: I think she may have said that I was discreet about it and played it off as nothing. if that is important to the overall meaning. I really don't know, can't get inside her head, haha.]

But keep listening, it gets sorta odd.

Than I guess some other things happened, different events sorta connected, than later in the dream, the blonde girl came after her with a knife (on a plane I believe she said). Than I think some other events before waking up.

The dream really shook her up...she was thinking about it all day, one of those things that just sticks and affected everything else she did. she remembers feeling really betrayed in the dream. really hurt.

I think the dream segments have the same meaning with or without the bracketed information.

These segments of her dream are reflecting her feelings. When my wife has this kind of dream, it usually means that my attention has been focused on things other than her, that I am not paying enough attention to her and/or that connection is just not there. She feels "cheated".

Could this be the case with you and your girlfriend?

Can you tell me what this dream means? It is very similar to an actual experience I had when we first started dating a year ago, which I will briefly explain:

This girl came into my room and tried to cuddle with me and I was totally cold! now we had been subtly flirting prior to the relationship with my current gf, but there were No feelings that night! finally she asked me if I was dating em, my gf, and I said yes, and she left.

Okay, now to the dream, same situation. she is cuddling with me, as we rest, I cuddle back, closely. The part that sticks out is as follows **she asks me why she can't be with me. I say I am dedicated to em.** Now here is what gets me: she says "If only you could have me, em (my gf) and than names two other girls including my gfs friend (I think) for a total of four,all at once to date. and here is where it fades out: There is obviously a tone of rejection throughout the dream. i didn't agree or disagree with her logic (about the pologamy)

^I guess in general, in life, I have never seen to much wrong with true polygamy. By true, I do NOT mean the fake superficial **** that as practiced by Hefner, but the real love between more than two people that can occasionally happen. I do believe it is possible with lots of work, open mindedness and love and respect.

I think that my gfs friend (who I mentioned briefly before) had a little crush on me (and a few of my friends thought we had a crush on each other the way they saw us interacting (from afar) and I always wondered about her just a little, wondering out of curiosity what things would be like cause we do click. In some ways, understanding each other than me and my gf do. But in a plutonic sense. Besides, I love my gf very much and I told my friends even before we dated that it was em I had a crush on.
