I had stayed up until 1 in the morning having an emotional arguement with my boyfriend over the phone. We hung up with love in our hearts, however. But I was troubled and weary upon going to sleep. I slept very deeply.

At about 5 in the morning I woke up and found my boyfriend asleep on the floor right next to my bed. His head was against the dustruffle and he was sleeping on his back. He often does come over in the mornings around 6 to wake me up and give me a kiss before going to work. I thought he had let himself in but I wasn't sure why he was asleep on the floor. I caressed his cheek a bit and then I shook his shoulders a bit to awaken him and ask him why he was there. I was gently shaking him and calling his name. I shook him a bit harder because he wasn't responding. I began to get irritated and I pulled my hand up to brush my hair from my face. When I brought my hand down there was nothing there except my blanket. My blanket was on the floor in the place where he was. I felt like I had lost my mind and then I buried my head in my pillow and slept for 10 more hours.

What happened, I wonder?

My boyfriend just sent me a text message telling me I give him spiritual goosebumps, Like he just felt my hand caressing his heart.

Insight would be greatly appreciated,

You were not completely awake when you saw him by your bed. Your dream consciousness and your waking consciousness were mingled for a few moments. I think it is that simple.

Do you think there is more to it than that?

What you suggest could be perfectly plausable. But the thought crossed my mind that one of us could be astral projecting at the time and that was the reason for the encounter. I was seeing him about the same time he was about to wake up to go to work.

Who's to know really?
