Today my mother inlaw gave me 35 dollars and as I was throing my McDonalds trash away I threw the money away. I realized it and picked it up (they had just dumped the trash lucky me).

She'd given me the money to put on a money card- it's what you use in prison. You put your money ont he card and use the cards in the prison visiting room. As I was leaving I accidentaly threw it away with my trash there. This time not noticing it til I was being walked out by a guard. I decided not to say anything convincing myself it's only about 20 dollars and I didn't want to bother them.

I've thought about it and I have no idea why I did that- never have before and definately not 2 times in one day.

Is it a sign? Should I not take her money anymore when she helps me? Am I clumsy? Do I waste money?

I own 5 shirts and maybe 4 pants that I wear. I buy gas, cigarettes and maybe fast food once every 2 weeks. I really am not wasteful. I just don't understand.

Well, I personally do not really believe in "freak accidents", as I believe there is a reason and purpose for everything.

While you may not be wasteful, perhaps you could manage what you have a little better, or be more responsible with it. Maybe that is all the incidents mean?

Symbolically, money is personal energy. Have you been wasting that? Have you been "throwing away" your energy in some way?
