I mean most of us when we dream we wake up just in time to where we don't get hurt or die, but once I had a dream so real that I actually die and saw my soul leaving my body and I was worried that my brothers and sisters were going to find my bleeding body on the floor.
I could write the whole thing, it had to do with hidding on a monastery and getting shot by a terrorist.This was also in my teens (16-17) but it was so real that I have never been able to forget it.
I also for some reason over the years had believed that something was going to happen in my 30's because of this dream.
Don't ask me how I know or where I got that from????

Symbolically, it means that some aspect of yourself, or some issue, situation, or other part of your life, has "died", ended, changed, or experienced a transition/transformation. So, if we are to look at your dream purely symbolically, I would speculate that some drastic change took place in your life when you were 16-17, perhaps in a religious/spiritual sense (monastery).

However, we could just as easily speculate about this being a past life memory/experience, and that this is the reason for your belief about something happening in your 30s, because in that past life you were that age when you died.

the death of my marriage and the birth of the old me that was put to sleep when I got married.
The more spiritual,art,music,literature driven me.The one that lives,feels and loves.

I forgot to say that, that dream always seemed to me I was being told someothing about my future.
But as I said again, who knows for real.
Could be a past life and a memory that was trigered by things I experienced then with terrorists.I tell you something though I can still remember the pain when I woke up in my chest after being shot several times.It was intense.
