ohhh I had this dream last night that was so long and complicated that it's difficult to put down in writing.

I was looking for a house near the ocean. I found a small community of houses near the beach on these hills and cliffs and then I discovered it was actually it's own little island which I really liked. The people were nice and inviting. I told my boyfriend about it and we went to look at some places. I went for a swim in the ocean and the water was thick and easy to float on. I discovered somehow through this swim that the island was part of an old civilization and the spirits from their dead lived in the water off the shores. The people that lived there would invite new people to move in so the spirits in the water could take over their bodies and, in a way, live forever.

So the rest of the dream was me trying to keep Brian out of the water and trying to explain to him what was going on without the people in the village realizing that I was on to them and that I planned on escaping.

HI RAA!!!!!!! I have missed youuuuu!

Howdy stranger! I've been missing you too.

In the dream, you don't want Brian to be "taken over". Does this correlate with a waking life issue? Is there something that threatens to "take him over", or are you concerned that something could? Is there some issue/situation that you want to keep his feelings/emotions out of (keep him out of water), prefering to use logic/reason (explain to him)? Is there something from your past (old civilization) that you do not want Brian fully involved in? Is this past issue something you have "escaped" from, and want to keep it that way?

Can you see anything relevant in those questions?

So, how are you and Hunter? Oh, and Brian?

Well - certainly! My divorce isn't final until next month. Perhaps that's it. I certainly escaped from my last marriage and want to keep it that way. I don't know why I wouldn't have thought of that.

I'm great, Hunter is awesome - getting so big! Third grade now - best thing that ever happened to me, Brian is amazing - sweetest guy ever - second best thing that ever happened to me.

But how are you?

My dreams were really lacking for a few months there. It seems a lot of them are coming back again.

Just last night I dreamed my name was Victoria and I was walking through the streets of Belgrade during a German luftwaffe attack on the city. People were running all around me including a lot of soldiers in uniforms I didn't recognize that seemed to be local and were trying to set up some sort of defense.

There was a really big, white, impressive looking building near the water and in front of it some sort of town square and I had just come out of a book shop nearby. It was dark and chaotic and people were running all around me trying to find shelter. I saw a bomb hit a building that people had just run into and it crumbled almost to dust in that spot.

I found a building I decided was suitable to take shelter in (all the time I was calm through this and walking - not even running) and I managed to get in. There was an old man and his wife there and there were pictures all over the walls. He was an inventor or something. He was experimenting with making weapons. I went to the window and sat on the floor in my fancy dress to look outside. I could barely see the planes flying overhead but I could hear the bombs when they would drop and another building nearby was hit and that's when I got a little nervous.

Wow, third grade. Mine is, too. And Jake started pre-k. It's a bitter-sweet kind of thing.

That last dream, besides probably being some sort of past life memory fragment, may also be representative of aspects of your life situation, like you mentioned about the last dream. 'Bombs' are threatening but you're calm and okay.

Your dreams are really something.
