Often they are a take on the current house in which I live, which has a very protective "entity" of her own...have seen her have felt her...

This house beckoned to me to purchase it, was not in the market for a house at the time, but fell in love...

So, alot of the time I dream that I have moved into a new house and it is haunted, and I am a bit frightened, but approach the issue quite relatively.

Honestly, while intruguing, ghosts scare the living daylights out of me, while "spirits" do not...

What do you think may be up with my dreams of purchasing haunted houses...o, and I never know the houses are haunted until I move in..

Houses are often haunted because there is some sort of unfinished business concerning the haunting entity, often on an emotional level. So, it could be that these kinds of dreams reflect some kind of unfinished emotional business from your past, perhaps stemming from your childhood family life.

How do you feel about that?

I think we all have "unresloved" issues from childhood/our pasts...some more than others...

The next time I have one of these dreams (and I will not have to wait too long) I shall look to what is going on in my life in the present and I am quite willing to believe that it has something to do with "issues" from the past.

Interesting post script, in the last haunted house dream I had I was dealing with furniture that I had when I was a child...

Hmmmm.....

I would also agree that some present issue/situation/energy is likely the reason for dreaming of this connection with the past, and with your psyche, your mind.

Almost every night I have this dream..the feelings I have while dreaming about this is usually nostalgia, excitement, and like all past memories a certain sadness that things have changed and things progress...the secret room theme reminds me of when I was younger and exploring whatever environment I was in at the time but also makes me feel there is some 'secret' or 'enigma' within myself.
