I had this bizarre dream last night, and I think I may have some of it figured out - but I could do with some help on the rest! (I know you're busy, Ra - but whenever you can spare the time is ok by me). I was in an operating theatre and my grandmother (who died about 8 years ago) was there doing surgery. Then they brought in my mother for surgery - she was wheeled in on the table under anaesthetic with a tube in her nose and ready for surgery. My sister was standing there with me and we were watching the scene. I was slightly anxious/emotional and so was my sister. My grandmother was to do the surgery and it seemed that she wanted to take extra care with this one and it was important to her to do it right (obviously as this was her daughter). She was doing some kind of surgery through a big hole in my mother's stomach, although I can't quite describe what the surgery was she was either putting in or taking out something vaguely sparkly and big, or this semi-sparkly thing was just part of the surgery equipment (I don't know for sure). I could sense the love and great care that she wanted to take with this surgery, and we were all emotionally connected with it. I THINK I may have some of this figured out. Firstly I've been thinking a lot about a book mentioned in this forum recently which is called The Hades Moon - from what BUD has told me about the book, Scorpio moons and Pluto aspected moons tend to run in the family; I looked up our charts, and indeed the Pluto moon does run in my family inter-generationally, through the women (ie all the women in my dream). Astrologically we all are very intense emotionally and apparently there is a karmic connection; control is an issue and there is healing to be done. So these things - emotional connection, the generations of women in my family who share the Pluto moon, and healing - seem to be represented metaphorically in my dream, don't you think? From here though I've hit a brick wall about the more specific meanings. Is it my grandmother who brings healing? If so, how and why? Why does my mother need the surgery? Why don't my sister or I do the surgery, and why is it my grandmother who does it (who is no longer with us physically)? Why, in my dream, does she have the job of doing surgery for other people? Why was the outcome of the surgery NOT in my dream? I found the dream to be intriguing and (slightly) emotionally affecting. So if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it! IP: Logged |

Hi GeminiLover I think you are very much onto it. There is definately something being said here about certain energies being passed down generationally, at least begining with your grandmother. I find your astrological statements fascinating, especially since my thoughts are similar, even without the astrology. What I see is the same - emotional energies - as symbolized by the stomach. Is it my grandmother who brings healing? If so, how and why? ... I would say yes. It could be that she is helping from the other side, now that she is aware of a larger picture and can see how her emotional issues have been passed down. Why does my mother need the surgery? ... There is something of an emotional nature that needs to be healed. Why don't my sister or I do the surgery? ... Perhaps neither of you can see the "dis-ease" as your grandmother can, or perhaps the "dis-ease" has not yet fully manifested within you, and so your knowledge of it is more limited than grandmother's. What do you think? IP: Logged |

Hi Ra, thank you so much! That's really helpful. I didn't realise that the stomach represented emotional energies - how fascinating! It's gone through my head that maybe my grandmother is helping from the other side, but I've had no signs or proof... except that I know I've been missing her a lot (I burst into tears earlier tonight when I was listening to a song that reminded me of good times with her when I was younger and remembering how much she seemed to 'get' me, and I get her even more now than before too). If she is indeed helping my mother (and me, and my sister, by default I guess) then I would agree that it's because she can now see the bigger picture and would know better than me how to deal with it. I think if it was possible for her to help us, then she would. I've seen no evidence of it, but that doesn't necessarily mean that nothing is going on. That gives me something to think about... Also it seemed as though doing surgery is something she's done a lot. If my dream represents her helping my mother, does the fact that she was doing other surgeries previously mean that she's helped other people too? Or was that part of my dream merely 'setting the scene'? Thanks again so much! IP: Logged |
