I tend to have very intense and frighteningly lucid dreams when I take naps.

The dream I had this time was really strange. I don't remember falling asleep, just in the dream, for some reason, I was using my vibrator (I know this seems inappropriate but it has relevance) and the batteries were dying. I knew they were new batteries, but I eventually gave up. I got out of my bed to walk around my apartment, but realized it wasn't my apartment at all. There was one tiny portion that I found to be familiar but I felt like I hadn't explored my entire apartment (ha! I wish it were that big!) so I'm walking around the apartment flipping on light switches and nothing is working. I pick up my cell phone to use it as a sort of flashlight, and it won't come on and neither would something else electronic that I had near me. At this point I'm just frustrated that nothing is working and all of a sudden, there is a large group of people in my apartment. All old friends and family, and I'm like "Oh....hey, what?" completely stunned. Everyone goes about their business; I remember seeing all of my friends from the town I just moved away from, grandparents from my home state, my parents and brother, and people from my childhood. My friend Lee asks if I have anything to drink and I tell him, "Uh, ice water" and he's like "No, no, I have this whiskey, we need a mixer" and automatically appears a few bottles of Coke. I remember being so frazzled in the dream that I sat down on a couch and told the story of my dream to my grandpa and I was like "I can still see the other apartment, but I know it isn't mine" because behind him I could see a dining room, but I don't have a dining room. And I explained that all of the electronic devices weren't working, and he just nodded. My brother was sitting there too and I asked him how they got in because I distinctly remembered locking my door and he said, "I don't know, I guess we just kind of appeared." This statement struck me as really weird.

What in the world could this mean? I mean, I know it's not extremely bizarre, but still it was very realistic and I was aware of everything that was happening, but wasn't exactly connected to any of it.

Any insight would help.

Thanks Ra!

Looking forward to it )

I wanted to add that I seem to have a lot of dreams where I'm in a house that I haven't explored all of. I was thinking this could signify that I haven't explored all of myself at this point in my life. Being that astrologically my sun sign is Cancer, a house representing this would make sense.

However, I'm still at a loss for this dream. The details and chain of events really threw me for a loop. The electricity? People from my past? Not being able to completely wake from the previous dream when people appeared. Etc.

I'm coming, I promise.

Are you feeling disconnected or powerless or low on energy in any ways?

Hello tidalwave

You are right, the unfamiliar parts of the houses/apartments are those parts of yourself which have not yet been explored.

In a general sense, the electricity problems could suggest that you are experiencing a loss of personal power in some way. However, since you said, "I knew they were new batteries", it seems that the energy/power you need is there, but you are having difficulties tapping into it. In fact, the "chain of events" could suggest that your energies are stuck in the base chakra (vibrator), which is not allowing them to properly travel upward into higher centers, such as the throat chakra (cell phoce/communication) and the pineal (flashlight/enlightenment). See what I mean? There appears to be a disconnect in your energy flow. Why?

Perhaps the people from your past provide a clue. You said that you have just moved away, so physically you are indeed "disconnected" from familiar faces, places, and energies. This in itself can cause feelings of being disconnected on many levels - mental, emotional, psychological. The people from your past could also suggest past patterns that may need to be overcome so that your energies can freely flow. Talking to your grandpa about the dream you were having and being "frazzled" further indicates the disconnection you are experiencing.

Does any of this ake sense?

Thanks for the response Ra!

I was feeling disconnected at the time so that makes sense. I have since made friends where I moved and things are going better now.

Astrologically speaking, I do have Mars conjunct Ascendant which I've read lends to inexhaustable energy that may not be tapped into. I do feel tired a lot and can't seem to get out of my lazy rut that I've been in since I can remember. Your response does make a lot of sense, but I am wondering if you have any tips on how to tap into this energy? I often wonder how so many people are so busy all day, and I'm sure it's tiring, but how do they get that boost of energy?

Again, thank you for the response, it was very insightful!

You are welcome. As for how to tap this energy, to get your energies flowing, I suggest asking that question in the 'Health and Healing' forum.
