I realise teeth falling out is a common dream but I couldn't remember what it meant.

I am in a car journey along a country road and then my teeth fall out, all rotten and black. Then, the car I am travelling in goes through a deep puddle and it becomes like a sea. I manage to escape the car by climbing out the roof window. It wasn't a nice dream, the colours were murkey browns and dark greens.

The car journey represents a situation or issue in your life. The country road indicates that this is a "road less traveled", in some way. Or perhaps it is a "road"/situation that comes "out of nowhere". Your teeth falling out could suggest a lack of confidence. The deep puddle/sea and murky colours suggests the presence of not-so-pleasant emotions and confusion, and in this case, overwhelming, as your car is sinking.

Do these things describe a situation/issue going on in your life? Or something that is likely?

Yes, i suddenly had a romantic connection with my good guy friend (which seemed to come and happen out of nowhere so its new territory with me and him) But he doesn't want a relationship and i am equally confused about how i feel and what I want.

The teeth probably reflects my feeling of insecurity regarding this guy. We haven't been able to talk properly and he says he loves me/cares for me but im not seeing evidence of that even on a friendship level.

Maybe escaping the car was me trying to escape this situation but im not sure how to do that.
