I had a reoccuring dream:It was a lovely summers day at the beach(Simons Town to be precise here in South Africa). I looked at the ocean and from a distance it seemed asif the ocean was rising. It was moving at a rapid pace and everyones attention was focused on it. Then it became extremely cloudy and there was a heavy smell of salt in the air ( more than usual).I turned my back to the ocean and there in front of me was Table Mountain? A cloud started taking the shape of a hand and broke off the right tip of the mountain. Everyone started to panic and run as the tidal wave was rapidly approaching as well. The hand began breaking the rock of the mountain into smaller pieces then a voice that seemed to come from the sky ( but it sounded more like it was in my ear )said," YOU HAVE NOT DEMONSTRATED LOVE TO YOUR BROTHERS! YOU FAIL TO LEARN! FEEL MY WRATH!!!" Then the hand through the pieces of rock down at the people below and it exploded on contact - like bombs going off. It was chaos, people were running for their lives and screaming. The tidal wave hit.... Then I awoke. I always wake when the water hits ( it's rather cold and overwhelming). For those who do not know what Table Mountain is: It's a mountain that look like a table and when the clouds cover the top it looks like a table cloth here in Cape Town, South Africa
I have no clue as to what this dream means but now lately after having this one and dozing off I have another reoccuring one but this time I'm standing on a rounded piece of concrete in space with an angel standing behind me. I'm not allowed to turn around as see his / her face as I may be blinded by the light. I can see mother earth but then something bad happens.... If anyone could try and give some insight to this dream I'll be really greatful Thanks IP: Logged |

From the outlook ,it looks like the end of the world but it could represent emotional instability within you. The mountain symbolises an obstacle which needs to be overcome. also it could represent many alternatives and choices to make. Since you mention God, I sense that you either fear God or fear religion and and are trying to overcome this but you don't know how. Perhaps you're not too sure on how to incorporate religion into your life at the moment.Does table Mountain mean anything special to you? IP: Logged |

Thank you for your reply Fieryscales. I too do not think that these dreams signify the end of the world. Table mountain symbolizes the land mark to my home. To me Cape Town is not Cape town without it. I am not afraid of religion or fear it. In fact I am open minded and respect all religions. I do know that water usually symbolizes emotional matters but where does the God part fit in?IP: Logged |

Perhaps you have internal struggles with religion? I knew I shouldn't have asked a Capetonian what Table Mountain means to them...it is SO obvious..hehe I live in Durban!IP: Logged |

My pleasure, Char. There are a few other fellow South Africans on this site too.Perhaps this dream IS leading you to re-examine your belief system and perhaps figure out where you feel most comfortable. IP: Logged |

Well the thing that confuses me is that I have been having such dreams from a really young age so does that mean my belief system should have been evaluated then? When one is the tender age of four or five you don't really queston these things??IP: Logged |

Hmm, not when you're 4 or 5 years old. Perhaps it is a culmination of all the religions you practised in past lives? And for some reason you're dreaming about them in this lifetime. Really don't know...IP: Logged |

Yes, now that you mention it. Had a chart reading which confirmed a previous incarnation in the religious field. So that could be it?IP: Logged |

Yes that could be it. You could have been a religious figure who stood up to set ways of religion, or had your own ideas about the concepts of religion.IP: Logged |

It kind of sucks in this lifetime though as I don't remember my previous one but I am working on it Last night I dreamt that an angel offered me a gift and in return all i had to do was accept his / her gift. The strange thing about this angel was that he/she was wearing sunglasses but didn't bother me much. The gift was an ugly green little statue that looked almost like a troll. The angel told me that whatever the statue touched would turn to stone with the exception of me as it was my gift. I hesitated to take the gift and as the angel handed t to me it fell on the ground and everthing in it's path turned to stone!! I was totally shocked and got angry that an angel would offer me such a destructive gift. I confronted him/her and said that I refuse the gift and would not take his/ her hand. The angel was still quit calm and smiled. I noticed the sunglasses and reached up to snatch it off... and saw that the angel had NO EYES!!! That's when I woke up. IP: Logged |

Perhaps a devil in diguise? Angels normally represent messengers of God or they can represent a parental figure, i.e God.IP: Logged |

Well the 'angel' in this dream did scare me unlike the other ones I dream about. I always thought of the devil or satan as symbolic of our evil or bad s- elves because we at the end of the day have the choice of good and bad. IP: Logged |

Hehe Fieryscales, it's the first time I hear someone use that old familiar word 'eish' - I like!Anyway, yesterday I was chating to a friend of mine and she suggested that when I have these dreams that I should let everything play out and see what the outcome is. That's going to be hard to do as one can kind of control lucid dreams but these ones are scary. Last night I had the Table Mountain dream again but this time the sea was light pink and there were three twisters upon the water heading towards the land. One twister was on the left side of the horizon, the other on the right and the last on in the middle. The two on either corner was heading towards the twister in the middle to join up as one. This time I awoke before the hand struck down the 'bombs'. If these dreams were in a simplier format maybe I would be able to interpret them but not the way they are now... IP: Logged |

A tornado means unstable emotions but it could also mean that early ventures into spirituality may make you feel powerless and at the mercy of all elements. Since you mentioned three tornadoes, it could also mean the trinity: The Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost. Again religion.IP: Logged |

Well I was thinking about it and in this dream I know it's God speaking but I'm scared. It could mean that there is something unfullfilled - a warning as he/she was speaking to everyone.Maybe this dream also means I have been taken the wrong path and it's time to get back on track. IP: Logged |

Hello charmainec Could be. There are also possible indications that these dreams could represent overwhelming emotional chaos experienced in early childhood. Some sort of upheaval in your early life, perhaps a broken home situation. Is this so? Did something bad happen to you? Possibly something you do not really remember, but perhaps feel it in some way? If any of this strikes a chord, we may be able to dissect the symbology in that context. What do you think? IP: Logged |

Hi FieryIt's not our country but the narrow minded people that did that to us. Although I'm very hurt remembering all this i don't feel any anger towards this woman. In fact I would like to find her and do some random act of kindness. I don't care whether she remembers me or not and she doesn't even have to know who I am. I want to do this because I forgive her.
