can u guys conciously astral travel? or does it happen on its own?

last night i was sitting on my sofa watching tv...and i suddenly felt the tremors i normally feel jus before an astral travel. i got scared and then it stopped? is this supposed to be normal?

I've had experiences where ive been a state of half sleep and i've felt like my cat (who is at my parents house) has come to visit me! it's the strangest sensation, its like he is cuddled up on me like he would normally. But as soon as I am fully conscious, the feeling vanishes.

Was my cat astral travelling? He was my kitten so I am like his "mum".

i'm really new to all this!..i dont know too much myself..but i've heard that cats can see stuff we cant...maybe thats on account of them astral travelling?...it maybe possible i think..
