Last night I had a dream. But I am thinking it was more of a telepathic dream than a normal dream: I was in my bedroom and a had a writing pen in my hand. All of a sudden, the pen starting ringing like a mobile. I answered it and a friendly American male voice spoke. He asked how I was doing. I said I was fine etc. I knew it was a friend of mine but couldn't quite place who it was. We spoke for awhile but it was nagging at the back of my head, who it was. I didnt want to be rude and ask who it was. Anyway we spoke and hangup. What stood out the most about this dream, not the pen acting as the phone, but the realisation that the conversation I was having with my friend, was how clear the conversation was. It was like talking to another person who is in the same room as you are. Crystal clear.
After I awoke I was thinking about this dream and the American friends I speak with. I narrowed it down to one person who it could possibly be, in my dream. He lives in Houston, TX. He stayed behind there when Ike stormed through the area. I cannot contact him now as it is difficult to and the power in Houton isn't 100% running. Maybe my friend was communicating telepathically saying that he was ok and not to worry about him? Perhaps when he was, I was dreaming at the same time and his telepathic message crossed over into my dream?

wow what a great dream!what sticked out was the part where you say how clear it was on the pen. maybe you feel you communicate to others clearly thru writing more than speaking in person? do you feel in person others understand you less? do you feel people really get a feel for you thru your writings, possibly online, and thru poetry, etc? At first I took the pen to be a communication device, just like a phone but now when i think about it, you might be right, write Perhaps I do express myself far better if I put pen to paper or if I blog on the Net. IP: Logged |

What phones mean in dreams is an exciting topic especially cell phones. I believe they have a special significance.Any ideas? Where from the calls are coming in phones that come in dreams? I believe there is just one place. It must be some kind of a different realm, may be heaven. IP: Logged |

Both the pen and the phone symbolize communication, and together suggest unspoken (pen) and distant (phone) communication, so you may be right about the telepathic/psychic nature of it, especially considering the crystal clarity of it. Basically, I think you are right. I am glad you finally heard from this friend! Thank you for sharing this classically symbolic dream. IP: Logged |
