I was in an outside area and my friend leaned over and showed me a picture on her phone saying that i just had to go and see it. It was beautiful.. a photo of a cave of trees.. (trees bent over in the shape of a cave and the ground a shallow pool of water). It looked very magical and i mentioned to my friend that i would look it up on the net the next day and go and see it.
My dream then jumps to myself and a group of people inside of an actual underground cave. we are all looking around and exploring *again there is a shallow pool of water which is a blue green colour. and all of a sudden everyone starts running around, there are a million red snakes moving around all over the place as if they had been released by someone..we all rush from the cave, then suddenly i realise they are actually jelly lollies *candy. shaped like snakes and i relax. but i then see my brother being arrested and run over to intervene. I then become the police officer and arrest my brother, but i do not relate to him as my brother.( its probably worth noting my brother is currently awaiting the date for entry into the police force in real life)

I'll give it a go...

This dream seems to be a vague mixture of emotions where you are trying to work out how you feel about stuff.

The underlying emotion is anxiety. You are attracted to the heady sensations of what a partying social life seems to promise, however you are worried that you might be led astray - kinda like pinocchio was with the fun fair. Perhaps you had the dream as we were coming up to New Year's Eve and you, like a lot of us, were hoping for an absolute blast.

Your brother going into the police force has made you wonder whether he would ever dob you in for anything at all because he was just doing his job.

Im guessing it may be about work, at that time i was agonising over a decision about asking for a transfer and was keeping it to myself as i felt i couldnt trust anyone.

In regards to my brother joining the force, yes i guess i have wondered about what he would do because of his job, not in relation to me doing anything, but more in respect to the things that some of his friends do and how he is going to be able to be on the other side of fence so to speak.

I asked a friend of mine for her opinion on this dream, and she had some thoughts that I found interesting, and that I never would have thought of.

So, let me ask you a question, are you thinking about joining some kind of multi-leveled marketing thing, like Amway or something?

Is there something being offered to you that seems like a good idea, but you have reservations about for some reason?

Are people you know joining up with something, some organization, maybe even your brother?

Is there a trust factor involved with this issue?

I am curious about this line of thought, and will be looking forward to your answer.

Hmm, well I am not thinking of joining any marketing company, however i do work for an organisation that runs with a few different business lines or 'areas', i have recently asked for a transfer into a different part of the business. besides what is already written in my reply above the only other thing i can think of is that i had joined a dating website.

look forward to hearing about what your friend thinks about this one.

These are my thoughts ...

The "Cave of Trees" does exist, within yourself.

The symbols in this dream are interesting as nearly all of them have something to do with the unconscious, and unconscious material being released.

A cave often represents the unconscious, and exploring it suggests the process of self-discovery/development, as you are exploring certain energies/material which exist within your unconscious, and therefore uncovering something about yourself.

Trees can represent the self, growth, cyclic energies, as well as self-development/individuation.

The shallow pool of water represents material/energy emerging from the unconscious.

The million red snakes suggests the "release" of unconscious energy/material, possibly of an emotional nature (red). Here it seems that this energy/material appears threatening at first, but turns out to be quite harmless, and can even be something you are able to incorporate (candy is edible) into your conscious awareness.

There are also suggestions that trust, or the lack of it, could be an issue concerning whatever this situation is about, and the scene with your brother/police could have something to do with authority, or taking control, but I'm not sure about that.

I'm not sure how all of this relates to any specific issue in your life, if at all, but these are the underlying energies that I see.
