Hi there, I have had two dreams now of being with my best (guy) friend. They've taken place at a mall. The first time, it was a mall I've actually been to multiple times in waking life, however, it had a brand new development built onto it - strangely, this same development previously appeared in dream, except that it had nothing to do with the mall!

In this first dream, I brought my best friend to one of those hippie-ish stores that sell things like pipes, New Age books, stones, tie-dyed shirts. I realized that my friend was on crack, as he was acting strangely in the store, and I got really angry that he was doing drugs and I left him there to look for my car in the mall parking lot. On the way to the lot, I walked through that new development - the development is set up like a fancy mansion. I got angry here and started smashing things in it, and got yelled at by employees there. I never did find my car (the parking lot is HUGE).

This second dream, it was a different mall. This time I brought my friend to a comic book store. He was disappointed to find that most of the comic books were of war-related topics. I found his favorite author (in waking life he makes horror-related manga) and showed him the entire stand full of those comics, and my friend was still disappointed.

Any ideas? I'm lost on the repeated symbolism.

Hi virgotaurustaurus,

I thought I would give your dreams a go, but be prepared you may not like it, or may be offended or even may just think I am plain wrong.

The first dream hints at nausea that is a result of gall bladder problems - maybe not a condition but pointing to some of those symptoms. I think it is a result of eating two much of a combination of fruit/sweet plus creamy things.

I also think you know that some of your activities of daily living which include eating habits are not really what you think you should be continuing with if you want to have the kind of health and physical condition that you envisage for your future.

The second dream is separate but also related under one theme. It is more to do with psycho-emotional health and it is the result of lots of trivial tid-bits, information, goss, nitty gritty relationship dramas, observations and musings on a wide range of things. It appears that a lot of time is allotted to this kind of thinking/communicating and it doesn't make for a peaceful emotional state or a rested sleep.

So, generally the dreams are related to the discomfort of indulgence. It's similar to what children get like after they have been to a party - they're overexcited, overtired, revved up, and a bit sick on too many goodies.

Hello virgotaurustaurus

The first dream suggests that there is some sort of "new development" in your life, possibly concerning your friend, but not necessarily.

You are angry at something ... perhaps your friend, or someone else, is not taking your thoughts/beliefs/ideals seriously, and you are at a loss (can't find car) as how to deal with this.

The second dream is similar. You wish to share something which you feel will please the other (found favourite author), but are not taken seriously (comics) which causes feelings of conflict (war-related topics) and disappointment.

Your friend could represent himself, or he could symbolize someone else, or even an aspect of yourself.

In some way, you have been disappointed or angered by someone or something who/which has short-circuited your values and/or beliefs, or your ability to share them.

Does this make any sense? What is going on?
