Topic: A gun dream or just being curious..

My friend is a police officer..and I know that he is very careful and protected over his gun and stuff when he is at home. He makes sure that he puts in a place that he can get to it fast and a place where no one will see it or bother it..Anyway I had a dream that I found his gun while he was out and took it apart and was messing around with it. But I forgot how to put it back together and then he came home and I was so afraid bc I knew how he was about his stuff. I knew that he was going to grill me like cops do. I ran away out of the house and tried to put the gun back together but I never did. And then I woke up.. Was just wondering if this was the result of eating macaroni and cheese before I went to bed or was this dream meaniful..Usually I know but somehow I don't know this time.. IP: Logged |

Or how about I already found out something private, well he told me though..And he was somewhat embarrassed to tell me. But I never made him feel like he had to be..but uh maybe there is more and well we shall see..Thanks Peri.. IP: Logged |

Mac and cheese.....yummmmmm.....  Well, I don't mean to overstep boundaries here, but this dream struck me as really sexual, Mama Mia!
I agree with Peri about the awkward, private thing (as you validated too), but something feels very personal about this dream. The sexual part is the gun (phallic symbol for me....not traditionally one for me, but in this dream it just felt like it). There's a real male-ness to it, and you taking it apart to see how it works (hello), can't put it back together again ... maybe unconscious sexual feelings, on his end, toward you. And maybe you don't know how to deal with them and it feels weird. "He is very careful and protected over his gun and stuff when he is at home. He makes sure that he puts in a place that he can get to it fast and a place where no one will see it or bother it..." This felt like I could take out the word gun and put in sexuality. So I felt like you could see through him in some way (found his secret hiding place).

Hmmmmmm now theres a thought...I would have never thought about that..Uhm I have just reunited with this guy and we have been sexual in the best way..We have always been good in that area but since we have gotten back together this time its been real open between us in this area. Now what I found out about him prior to this dream was not about he and I some adversity that he was facing that he was somewhat embarrassed about at telling me..We have passed that.. BUT this past weekend his grandmother had a heart attack and we had to rush to the hospital and this is a controlled emotion Aqua man and he broke down crying in front of me..Yes he tried his very hardest to keep it in but he could not. Infact he cried off and on all weekend and I felt awful and no I did not know what to say when seeing him cry like that. I just rubbed his head and back and let him know it was going to be ok..Although I could tell that he felt awkward showing that kind of emotion in front of me.. So thanks for shedding some light on this..Good stuff ya'll.. Oh and I mention this dream to him and he was clueless..He just laughed.. IP: Logged |

it makes more sense MamaMia, his gun (that he is very protective of) represents his most intimate and deepest feelings in general and his own feelings about his masculinity in particular; and seems he is uncomfortable about revealing them (he keeps his gun in a place where no one will see it or bother it) and you having seen him in grief gave him the feeling of being completely emotionally naked before you (tried to put the gun back together but I never did) so, yes, it is about his male-ness and him feeling vulnerable about it when you saw him cry...
