I donīt know what`s happening right now. But I dreamed of an animal once again. First of the black serpent, now of a black panther. Strange. I think this may be significant in the light of the other dream. So I want to share this one, too.

AS I mentioned I dreamed about a female black panther. She was being held by a very loose and soft chord that she didn`t even seem to mind. This chord rested in the hands of a man. He was feeding her, but not with flesh, as you would have expected, but with huge, partly exotic fruits, and she was looking up at him and even snuggling up at him. It was heartwrenching to see how much that animal trusted and loved him.
Then suddenly it became darker and she was suddenly gone, at least I could not see her animore. I became fearful, and I begged him to find her and put her on the leash again. But he said that I didn`t need to worry, she wouldn`t be far away and she was really no danger to anyone, lest me.
And the leash was actually not necessary at all, but she seemed to feel more comfortable with it, as it seemed to give her hold more than really bind her. Besides, he added: You see the leash. It`s made of soft cotton. Do you really think it would hold her back, if she wanted to break free? No chance. She is a free spirit, and if she stays, it`s by her own choice."

And then the panther came from under a chair near to the wall (it almost looked like she had hidden there. lol). He knelt down and looked her in the eye and said: "Where have you been, my lovely?" His voice was absolutely soft, and she looked up at him lovingly, which of course is strange, as she was an animal.
However, he asked me to come closer and have a look at her. She calmly looked at me, and I wasn`t a little bit afraid of her anymore, but then I startled back because of her eyes. I felt like I was looking into my own eyes. I had the feeling that this panther was me.
Confused I looked up at that man and he just nodded.

And that was it.
Strange animal dreams I am having lately. Maybe I just made peace with my inner cat.

I used to dream of cats and wildcats, tigers, lions, panthers quite frequently, but then I was always very afraid of them, and locked myself into my house, so they could not get in.
Then I didn`t dream of them for a LOOONG time.
So I was surprised about that dream last night, and especially the serene athmosphere in it.

Hello.

Right from the very beginning of the dream I felt like the panther was a metaphor for you. Which you confirmed (Despite of not really knowing a lot abut you)

I think you are starting to realize some truths about yourself. You see yourself and probably are a strong powerful individual who doesn't have fear committing but still craves freedom to explore the darkness. But, It seems when you run away you want the loved one to come after you.

I think that the message of this dream could be realizing that the greatest love allows you to still be an individual and has plenty of trust in your love so that you will come back.

I think that the fact that you haven't been chased after in the dream confused you. So another message is that lack of jealousy doesn't mean lack of love just more understanding.

Maybe you are falsely questioning your partners trusting attitude?

I apologize if i'm off base. I just figured these theories are something worth exploring.

I also have to say that I really like this dream, it's atmospere and it's message.

That was really awesome.

I mean, we haven`t been talking so often on here, and yet it was a completely spot on analysis.

Even though I do not have a partner. But it`s true, yes, I know I will always need space (Sun, Mercury, Mars, ASC in Sagittarius and Moon in Aquarius - YES I do need space. lol) and freedom, but it is also important for me to know that I may come back.

Another thing has to do with the panther (and why is it always black?) as a symbol of power. There is something about power and trust, that I`m just learning. About my own power and trust, but also about trusting others.

I just wonder about the leash. What does it mean?

Wow, I'm so glad to hear that

I think black is the color of the biggest power. Power of the unknown I think, something that can sneak up and hit with a huge element of surprise. Night animal perhaps?

The leash is the commitment, it seems. You formally need it to connect you and (potential) partner but it's not keeping either of you bound or restricted. You are even scared for yourself without a strong bind but in fact it is exactly as the man said, you're relationships are a place you stay in strictly by choice and he doesn't fear you will drift too far or endanger yourself or anyone.

DD, I'm big on the cat dreams too. When my intuition was kicking in (especially parts of my own sexuality were teeming and seething), I was getting a ton of the animal dreams, especially the wild cats.

Black= levels of mysticism maybe, and if you say it's a part of you which you felt, maybe it's the unbridled side.
The soft look of her despite her wild self reminds me of the Strength card in the tarot.

The leash is maybe (since it was cotton) just a disguise, an attempt to placate the side of self which feels that there should be at least some guise of control?

It sounds to me like you were having a dialogue with your male archetypal (Animus?) self? He was perhaps assuring you that there's no need to fear the untamed side of self, that it's not viewed as threatening.
Sounds absolutely lovely....amazing dream
