I caught the last part of my dream by the hem before I woke up, and it was really vivid:

I'm at a food stand, and it's a fairly snooty food stand which offers high-end food and bakery. I can't decide what I want and there's no time. It seems like I have to order before I go do something important (can't remember what it was though). So as I am standing there trying to decide, there are other people also looking at the display. It's pretty impressive. Colorful baked treats, shaped beautifully, tarts, lovely-looking sandwiches...when, all of a sudden, part of the left side of the display area erupts, and water starts to flood over the food, and there are a TON of fish and tiny turtles emerging from the water, jumping around, walking all over the place. They looked beautiful. The turtles were really tiny and detailed, the fish were silver-gray, and some of them had these elaborate silver fins and seemed to fly out of the case.
I thought to myself, Wow, are they making food with those cute little turtles? I can't order from here. But then I look at the menu again and I get frustrated because I want to order a fruit tart and it looks too expensive.
I just keep watching the fish and turtles, and become fascinated.

I have absolutely no idea what this dream means, but something about it felt primordial.

I'm not sure but am thinking it's a new TV series that you are going to be right into. The pilot episode is close.

Elements of the general idea will be about DNA, flashbacks, signs of the times, some big jovial guy with an infectious loopy smile and a big chuckley laugh. Also, some native american/ethnic/anthropological themes, past flashbacks being connected and threaded to current story situations, a human element whereby the small group of three(?)main characters will often end the show with anecdotes/quirky quips/cammeraderie kinda stuff.

First show will perhaps open with a car racing through desert type vistas.

The stuff in your dream:

high-bakery stuff - what you have been watching; have you been trying to cultivate some commitment to staid, intellectual programs maybe to do with history?

water flooding, full of fish - preview ads "WOW, this looks like it's gonna be great!" kind of feeling

elaborate fins, silver-gray - now this is something to do with you -effects of a neptune transits aspects. I think dreams saying some kind of broken record warning that you have been receiving for awhile that you choose to ignore - and this has a safety aspect to do with physical boundaries, and something like you have been turning your back on some traditional/family standards/conduct.

tiny detailed little turtles - beautiful children; possibly in designer Italian(?)/European styled clothing. I see a small 3yr old boy with curly dark hair and a fine but healthy build.

So yeah, a combination; I only saw the sensationalism and fascination of the new tele programme at first then when I was breaking it down I got the other stuff.

Wow, Chryseis...that's quite a unique take!
Yes, it does feel very TV-esque (even though I don't watch TV)
In a way like you said I do get the pilot episode vibe. I'm anticipating moving back to California in another 8 weeks, so this might be a peek, who knows?

The Neptune stuff makes a lot of sense. I definitely have been trying to get a handle on my Neptunian side in relationships in general.

Thanks
