New dream... Weird... but somehow simple... it must have a direct easy-to-translate meaning...

I had it in the early morning, right before the alarm clock woke me up at 6:15 am...

In the dream I got up, also early morning... I had to go to work so I assume I had the same age I have now... However I was still living in my parents old flat... We left that place when I was 19 and I was going to Uni...

So I get up in a hurry. I have to get to work. I want to have a bath (unusual, as I tend to have just a quick shower in the mornings) to relax a little bit (I have a good ten minutes to spend) and wash my (long) hair... I want to put some conditioner on... or a hair mask... I remember really wanting to make my hair smooth, soft and silky... (??? What does "hair" symbolise?? Soften my hair??).

It becomes a complete disaster... First I let water run too long so the bath is too full and coldish... So I take the plug out so I can let some water out to refill with hotter water... but then I realise that shampoo, hair mask and bath gel is not there!! So I get out to look for it. I shout to my mother outside because I'm unable to find them in the cupborads or anywhere in the bathroom... She has taken them to school (she is a school teacher) and forgot them there (???)

I get a bit mad with my mother... Right, I will use just a soap bar... Then I realise that all water has emptied!!! I have to fill the bath again... I don't see that the shower head is outside the bath so when I turn the tap on... and the bathroom starts to flooding!!! When I get the shower head back, then I realise that the plug is out so the water is running out... when I finally start filling the bath, after a while the water is boiling hot!!

I'm getting more and more frustrated, more and more nervous, more and more anxious, more and more furious... I can forget about the bath if I don't want to be late for work...

HI there!

Let's see, hair, is symbolic of finding solutions to annoying problems. Like, the combing of ones hair, is sybolic of untangling a problem.
You were trying to soften your hair, so perhaps you are thinking of a way to solve a problem in the softest way possible.
And as you probably know, water is symbolic of emotions.
Without being too nosy....maybe there is something you would like to tell your mom, or a feeling you may want to share with her, and your trying to figure out how to put it to her in a gentle (soft) way??

Hi Gypsee!!! Nice to find you again...

No, not really... Can my mother symbolise something else all together??? Why in my old parents'house??

Is it a problem related to those days??

I'm actually trying to soften a situation that is pretty unpleasant right now... but it doesn't have anything to do with my mother... I think...

well, I often dream of houses. Most of my dreams occur in houses I don't recall ever being in. I think that the house is a symbolic of you, as a person.
So perhaps it being your old house, could be in reference to your old self, your old thoughts, ideas, feeling, etc. Not really sure.

With the mother I would think what does a mother symbolize to you?
comfort
nurturing
authority
love

To me these are the sort of things that are specific to the dreamer and cannot really be looked up in books.

Ok so if there is a situation that you are trying to "soften" as was said, maybe you are looking to the past, with the home and the mother, for the anser on how to best do it? Do you see?
Like in other words, how would my Mom (or a strong fem presence in your life) handle this situation?

My mother is not the best example to follow if I wanted to get out of my current unpleasant situation... Her example could have in fact got my into trouble... Is that why I'm angry with her in the dream??? Because what she did (taking away the shampoo and hair mask) is contributing to the problem???

My mum... What does my mother symbolises for me??? Hmmm... Inconditional support and love even when it becomes sickening, sacrifice, love taken for granted, emotional weakness, obsession... I behaved like her and got into trouble...

Yes, that old flat could symbolise all patterns... my childhood learnt constraints and embedded behaviours... (I'm shedding my skin... Remember that psychopath dream???
My mother could be that side of myself that she built in me while I was a child, what I inherited or learnt from her that I perceive as an obstacle...

Yes, and the situation has a lot to do with emotions... uncontrolled, wasted... like the water in the dream... I freeze, or I boil in anger, It's all out of control... I'm trying to smooth and control them...
