I'm not really sure what your saying.Do you mean like the Aboriganies (sp?) believe that when your awake your asleep and when your asleep your awake? The Dreamtime, is what they call it? I think. IP: Logged |

"I think that death itself is a sleep-state which dreams life. That cannot explain how then we see talking men and women who say something we actually do not know -- since that is the very way we differentiate between dream and reality: when dreaming, it is US who put words in the mouths of those around us. That said, when we are dreaming we do not know that it is actually us who are putting words in mouths around us. In a similar way, I think that life could be a dream in the sleep-state of death and it is us who are actually putting words in the mouths of people around us". Interesting Taurean Poet...I am trying to understand this...so what about the dreams where you see someone say things or do things which are going to happen tomorrow or within next few days...what about the precognitive dreams? Thanks for the provoking thought Mystique IP: Logged |

Well, I really dunno.Through the looking glass if you go, you can't talk in plain words, but must resort to lyrical poetry, and yourself wonder agaze at the wonderment in your heart at seeing the wholesomeness of your own lyrical poem-thought/sentence. As like children begotten of you, which are you + your dreams come true. Are you with me? If you are, and if you understood well, then in your opinion what I talk of is naive and prosaic; on the other hand, if you are not with me, then this is nothing better than humbug! In plainer word: I happen to be a profilic writer: that is I write poems. And belong to a casual online community of ppl who share poems. Now many ppl write poems to which others would comment: "exactly what I was thinking!", or something like that. Now the thing is we can't talk in plain words -- and understanding this, we never do! We allude to what we talk, as though we were dreaming, and we understand each other that way -- and there is no thing like: 'explain me what that menat'; and there is less of rift, too -- since the idea that it-is-all-a-dream is predominant... In astrological terms, a very Piscean thing, I should say. IP: Logged |

Very interesting, dear Taurean poet.My initial thought was that all of what you said must not be part of literature or philosophy they must be taught as some kind of subject in schools. Wouldn't that be a practical angle? quote:
I think that death itself is a sleep-state which dreams life. That cannot explain how then we see talking men and women who say something we actually do not know -- since that is the very way we differentiate between dream and reality: when dreaming, it is US who put words in the mouths of those around us. That said, when we are dreaming we do not know that it is actually us who are putting words in mouths around us. In a similar way, I think that life could be a dream in the sleep-state of death and it is us who are actually putting words in the mouths of people around us.
I used to think of death as simply a very deep sleep, may be that is why babies cry, when born, because you are being awakened from a pleasant nap quite annoyingly! If we are putting words in the mouths of others then who is putting the words in our own mouths? In other words, who is dreaming US? The mind is continuously chasing itself. It is you that you are chasing! In the process of chasing you become an Observer of yourself. But all spiritual literature ask you stop observing and open up. It is the joy of experiencing oneself and open up to the One. It is a process of experiencing not Observing. Correct me if I am wrong. I found your post very delightful!
