I've been going through a lot the last few months regarding love and relationships. One night I basically cried out to my higher power asking them what I should do because I didn't think I could take much more.

That night I had a dream. It started with me walking through beaded curtains into a room filled with dark red velvet and gold tassels. There was a lady (dressed in red and gold scarves, and beaded fabric)sitting at a table with beautiful red and gold tea cups sitting on a tray in front of her. She motioned for me to come and sit.
Before I could say anything she started talking about why I was there.

She looked down at the cups (which were filled with seeds or beans) sprinkled some sort of sand or powder over them and pointed to each one as she described different men in my life. She never used names.

I remember trying to figure out which one could be the man that I've been so upset over and as she came to the last one I was sure it was him. She looked down into the cup and up at me and told me who it represented and it was not who I thought it was.

It was actually someone I had dated for a very brief time early last year. She told me that he had cheated on me and not much else.

Him cheating on me has not been confirmed or denied..or even brought up to the person she accused. However, for some I really believed this mysterious dream woman. It's a gut feeling.

Some thoughts I had were that the dream woman is your higher self. She represents your instinct and the part of yourself that 'knows' the truth.

Re the setting, yes your subconscious has painted the traditional picture of going to a psychic however the act of 'going through the curtains' is a symbolic one I feel, representing you uncovering the truth.

The seeds/beans I felt were like the very heart of each of those relationships you wanted to know about - the seed is pure potential; it has the blueprint to grow into whatever its nurtured to achieve. I think the infidelity you were told of in your dream is probably something you suspected on a certain gut level, deep down, but hadn't looked at it until now, and that's why it almost took you by surprise in the dream.

notice also the repetition of the colours red and gold in your dream!!
The cups (holding the love you desire - as cups in Tarot do) and as seeker suggested the beginning stage of each of those relationships..also the "powder" maybe love dust....the man she (your guide/higher self)pointed out to you is the man or the relationship which may have triggered all this trouble for you.. maybe she showed you its not who/what you think it is....
