I'm curious to know what everyone thinks/feels concerning wish fulfillment dreams.
In other words, suppose I have a desire to move to another state, let's say Florida.

Then, I start dreaming of myself living in Florida, and see myself in different situations in Florida.

Do you feel that one can "wish" something into reality? Or do you think that it is just unconscious (or conscious) desires "playing out" in the theater of dreams?

Maybe seeing yourself actually IN Florida is precognitive? What do you guys think?

Has anyone dreamed of anything consistantly that came true, as in a desire of yours??

Hi Gypsee

hmmm not sure are you asking if you really desire something can you manifest it, Yes

Precognitive would be if you saw you were in Florida without having put too much thought into it

2 personal examples:

a) I see me talking with a guy at work. Haven't seen him in months. Next day he appears in my office

I saw that before it happened = precognitive

b)I long to know how my dog is doing since he passed away years ago so I have dream of him and I see him happy.

I desired to know how he is and I saw him...that is a desire fulfillment

So I think you can do both things. You can manifest your desire and you can foresee an event.
You can also foresee where you want to be and make it happen

Nighty night

Hi Mystique;
Since you are sleeping I will use my indoor voice.

Ok, but, when I think of manifesting a desire I think of using visualizations and affirmations, that sort of thing.

So, in keeping with the Florida thing, since it is a simple example....

If I know I would like to move there, and I dream of being there, going to certain places and seeing certain things....and then I do, that would be precognitive, because I saw it before it happened, even though I wanted it to happen, right?

So, I suppose what I'm really wondering is where do you think dreams play a role in one's desires?

Now, I GO nitey-nite!!!

Oh, lol!!

Well, I think if you know you would like to live there means in your awake state you desire it so when you sleep you are guided with images of Florida to show you how/when you can actually get there. So I don't know if that would be considered precognitive I think its more in line with manifesting your desire. You can manifest your desires as you travel through Dreamland too, without the conscious visualizations and affirmations while you're awake.

I think precongitive would be more when you dream of something or know something before it reaches you consciously.

So if you saw yourself in Florida without having thought about it while awake and then months down the road you are enjoying a martini on the patio of your Florida condo then that would be precognition...you recognised this would be your new home before it actually happened

If its your desire to move to Florida and you have thought about it lots while awake then I think your dreams can help you fulfill your desire by showing you how to get there.

Did I just take the long way round explaining this, lol!!!

HAHA! No, not at all. I was just curious how others felt their dreams guided them and to what extent.

But, I see what you mean about the precog. although it IS a bit of a blurred line.

I do dream of deaths and pregnancies before they happen, and I wasn't thinking of them, so that part, I totally get.

I'm glad I didn't include lucid dreaming in here as well, as I was going too, or we could go round and round for ages!! LOL.

Now, I have to go back and re-read it, changing the moving to Florida to what I really was thinking and dreaming. OH my!

Strange to me that you came up with this scenario. Just a few months ago my very best friend from high school invited me to come live with her and her family on a temporary basis until I was able to get a job and place of my own... and they live.. in Florida lol. I was very seriously considering it but after hearing different negative reasons on why I shouldn't... I have since decided not to.
I told her that I'd know for sure by Spring and she was really looking forward to my moving out there, so I've been holding off telling her...ugg!

Anyway... carry on

Well when you figure it out, TEACH ME PLEASE! It's in the KTAA thread under 'Newbie Party' *sigh* I've read it over and over, but I have a mental block against directions I think. I need a visual aid.

*WinkAway, that is a coicidence that you came upon this, you probably had the Florida thing on your mind, and thats what drew you. I'll go in your place, cause, I really do want to move to Florida some day, even though I was just using it for an example!
